Sincere advice to the misguided sects

Sincere advice to the misguided sects

Zurqani (May Allah shower His Mercy on him) has related a Tradition in Sharh Mawaahib that when Aswad claimed Prophethood, he summoned Hadhrat Abu Muslim Khaulani (May Allah be well pleased with him) and asked him:  Do you testify that I am the prophet?  He answered in the negative.  He was asked:  Do you testify that Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) is the Prophet?  He answered in the affirmative.

On this Aswad ordered that a huge fire be started and Hadhrat Abu Muslim (May Allah be well pleased with him) be cast into it.  The order was complied with, but the fire didn’t hurt Hadhrat Abu Muslim (May Allah be well pleased with him) at all.

Think over this.  An occasion when life was not only in danger, but there was no hope for it, testifying the true faith was really difficult.  However, Hadhrat Abu Muslim Khaulani (May Allah be well pleased with him) didn’t care for it and testified the true faith.  The effect of this was that fire didn’t hurt him but seated him in its lap like an affectionate mother.

This shows how great a status is Prophethood that everything obeys those who believe in it, but what do people know of it.

The hypocrites would offer Salaat, etc. along with the Muslims and would testify to the Prophethood of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) as well, but they didn’t value it actually.  For this reason, they were doomed to hell and there, they were given a place which was the worst.

The only reason for this seems to be that they would be in the blessed company of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).  They knew very well the excellence of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), which would be discussed among the Companions as well.  In spite of all this, they didn’t value Prophethood at all.

The wrong sects should learn a lesson from this.  They see the excellence of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) in the Holy Quran and Hadith.  They hear them from the Muslims, but they ignore them and search for those Hadith through which the stature of our Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) is apparently lessened.  Will Salaat, fasting and such testification of Prophethood be of any use?

When we have seen a huge nation for whom it wasn’t of any use, then we will surely sincerely advise them to abandon this approach and to follow the approach of the Companions (May Allah be well pleased with them).
