The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) had a full mouth. He (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) had a beautiful voice. His voice had the miraculous quality that whenever He gave a sermon, even the women in the houses would hear it. When He (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) gave the sermon in Mina, apart from the 1 lakh plus Sahabah, the inhabitants of Makkah also heard it. Once during a sermon, He (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “Sit down” Hadhrat Abdullah bin Rawaha who was with the tribe of Bani Ghanam also sat down. When the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) spoke, a radiance would issue from His teeth. Hadhrat Abdullah bin Abbas (May Allah be well pleased with them) says that the Holy Prophet’s (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) teeth are well spaced. Whenever He (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) spoke a radiance could be seen between His teeth.

The words of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) are endorsed by Allah SWT with the words:

“Nor does he say (aught) of (his own) Desire. (3)” Surah Najm (53:03) The Prophet’s (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) speech was eloquent and sweet. His speech was very pleasing and would stir the very depths of the heart. His eloquence was such that none could match it. Hadhrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (May Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that he went to the presence of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) and said: O Prophet of Allah (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) , I have toured the entire Arabian peninsula. I have heard the poets of Arabia but I have never heard anybody as eloquent as You. The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said, My Lord i.e. Allah SWT taught Me and brought Me up and how well has He taught Me.

HIS SALIVA

The grandeur of His saliva is such that if He (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) put His saliva into a well of salty water, it would become sweet. If His saliva would be applied on a wound, it would be obliterated that very instant. If it was applied to any painful spot, the pain would vanish as if it had never been there. Blessings would be the fate of those who acquired Barakah from His saliva.

On the occasion of the battle of Khaibar, due to some infection of the eye, Hadhrat Ali (May Allah be well pleased with him) had some pain in his eye (conjunctivitis). The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) summoned him and cast His saliva in both of his eyes. Then Hadhrat Ali (May Allah be well pleased with him) was cured in such a manner as if he never had any pain at all.
(Sahih Bukhari Vol 2, Pg No: 606)

Hadhrat Ali (May Allah be well pleased with him) says, “From that time, (through the blessings of the Prophet’s saliva) I had never had any infection (pain) of the eye and neither did I have any headache.”
(Zurqani ‘al’al mawahib Vol 5, Pg No: 289) Once the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) asked for a pail of water and after drinking some water, He cast the rest of the water in the well. The narrator (rawi) says or that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) squirted the water into the well. After this the well became as fragrant as musk and it remained like that forever.”
(Zurqani ‘al’al mawahib Vol 5, Pg No: 280)

In the same way on the day of Hudaibiyah, the Sahabah (May Allah be well pleased with all of them) entreated to the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) that they had ran out of water. The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) sat on the edge of the well and said, “Get me a pail of water from this well.” When it was brought Him, the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) cast His saliva into it and prayed. He (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) ordered that it should be allowed to remain like that for sometime. Then till their departure from Hudaibiyah, the Sahabah drank from that water, and gave it to their animals.
(Sahih Bukhari) Vol 2, Pg No. 598.

On the day of A’ashura, the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) ordered that the infants should be brought to Him; the sons of Hadhrat Fatima (May Allah be well pleased with her) i.e. Imam Hasan and Imam Hussain (May Allah be well pleased with them) were also there. The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) put His saliva in their mouths and instructed their mothers not to suckle them till dusk. The saliva of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was sufficient for them and they did not need their mothers’ milk.
(Zurqani ‘al’al mawahib Vol 5, Pg No: 289)

Hadhrat ‘Umairah bint Mas’ud (May Allah be well pleased with him) came to the presence of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) along with his sisters for the pledge (bai’). He saw the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) having Qadeed (dried meat). The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) gave him a piece of meat after chewing it. All of them shared from it. The blessing of it was such that none of them had mouth odor after this.
(Khasais Kubra Vol 1, Pg No: 61/62)

It has been narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Habeeb bin fidak (May Allah be well pleased with him) that his father took him to the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) , when both his eyes had gone white. He could not see anything. The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) asked him, “What happened to you?” He replied, “My foot fell on a white snake and I lost my eyesight.” The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) cast His saliva into his eyes, because of whose blessings, he again started seeing. The narrator says that he would thread a needle at the age of 80 and his eyes were still white.
(Khasais Ul Kubra Vol 2, Pg No: 69)
