The status of Auliya on the day of Qiyamah in the light of the Holy Quran and Hadith


<p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><br /> The day of Qiyamah will be a day of great fear and terror, but those slaves of Allah who fear Him and none else, Allah will keep them safe from the fear and terror of this day.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>It is well established by many verses of the Holy Quran and many Sahih (rigorously-authenticated) Hadith that on this day Allah will especially favor His pious slaves and will reveal their grand status before the entire creation.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>Because of the favors of Allah Ta&rsquo;ala, the Auliya (Saints) and the pious slaves of Allah will be extremely happy and overjoyed.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>The worry about the Qiyamah will not affect them.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>Allah says:</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed">(Even) the Greatest Horror (of the Day of Rising) will not grieve them and the angels will welcome them, (saying:) &lsquo;This is (but) your Day which you were promised.&rsquo;<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>Surah Ambiya (21:103)</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed">There is for them the good news (of honor and recognition) in the life of the world, and (also of forgiveness and intercession) in the Hereafter. (Or there are blessed spiritual visions in this world in the form of pious dreams, and in the Hereafter in the shape of effulgent disclosures of Allah&rsquo;s Absolute Beauty and Sight.) The Commands of Allah never change. That is the colossal achievement.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>Surah Younus (10:64)</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed">From the entire corpus of Hadith, some are being presented as an illustration.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>There is a Hadith in Sunan Abu Dawood:</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed">Translation of Hadith: It has been narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Umar Bin Khattab (May Allah be well pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said:<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>Indeed!<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>There are some slaves of Allah who are neither Prophets nor martyrs, because of their status on the day of Qiyamah, the Prophets and the martyrs will praise them.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed">The Companions asked:<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>O Prophet of Allah (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)!<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>Who will be they?<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said:<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>They love each other only because of the mercy and benevolence of Allah Ta&rsquo;ala, neither because of mutual relationships nor because of monetary dealings.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>By Allah!<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>Their faces will be very radiant and they will be on pulpits of Noor.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>When people will be fearful, they will have no fear.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>When people will be sad, they will not be sad and then the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) recited the verse:<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>Ala Inna Auliya Allahi La Khaufun Alaihim Wa La Hum Yahzanoon.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>(Sunan Abu Dawood, Vol. 2, Pg. No. 495, Hadith No. 3528)</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed">This Hadith is present in Mishkaatul Masabeeh, Vol. 2, Pg. No. 426, in Zujajatul Masabeeh, Vol. 4, Pg. No. 103 and in the following books as well:<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>Mustadrak Al Hakim, Musnad Imam Ahmed, Mojam Tabarani, Shu&rsquo;abul Iman Lil Baihaqui, Hilyatul Auliya Li Abi Na&rsquo;eem, Ibn Asakar, Ibn Abid Dunya, Ibn ABi Hatim.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>It has been mentioned in Kanz Ul Ummal on the authority of Ibn Mardwaiy at more than 8 places, Twice in At Targhib Wat Tarhib, Vol. 4, Pg. No. 11/12, thrice in Jame&rsquo; Ul Ahadith Wal Maraseel, Vol. 1, Pg. No. 330, Vol. 3 Pg. No. 152, Vol. 18, Pg. No. 248, once in Majma Uz Zawaaid in Babul Mutahabbeena Fillahi &lsquo;Azza Wa Jall and once in Musnad Harith (Vol. 2, Pg. No. 993)</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed">Muhaddith-E-Deccan Abul Hasanaat Hadhrat Syed Abdullah Shah Sahab Naqshbandi Mujaddidi Qadri (May Allah shower His mercy on him) has mentioned a Hadith in Zujajatul Masabeeh on the authority of Jame&rsquo; Tirmidhi in Vol. 4, Pg. No. 103 in which the following words are mentioned:</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed">Translation of Hadith: There will be pulpits of Noor for them, the Prophets and martyrs will praise them.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed">Along with this, their dress will also be radiant.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>There is a lengthy Hadith in Kanz Ul Ummal on the authority of Musnad Imam Ahmed in which the following words are mentioned:</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed">Translation of Hadith: Allah will place pulpits for them.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>They will take their seats on them and indeed, their dress also will be radiant and their faces will be radiant.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed">In short, the beloved and pious slaves of Allah will be in joy in Qiyamah.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>They will be delighted at the favors of Allah Ta&rsquo;ala.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>There will be pulpits of Noor for them, their dress will be radiant and their faces also will be radiant.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span></p>
