Reconciling different Hadith about Meraj


<p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><br /> <br /> There are multiple Hadith about the beginning of the journey of Meraj, on whose basis people are rejecting the journey of Meraj altogether.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>The Muhaddithin (Hadith-Experts) have mentioned all these Hadith and have reconciled (<i>Tatbeeq</i>) all these Hadith.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>The interpreter of Sahih Bukhari, Imam Badruddin Aini (May Allah shower His Mercy on him) has written: About &quot;Bad Ul Khalq&quot; (A chapter in Sahih Bukhari), it is given: I was in the Ka'aba.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>Imam Zuhri (May Allah shower His Mercy on him) has narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Anas and Hadhrat Abuzar (May Allah be well pleased with them): The roof of My house split while I was in Makkah Mukarrama.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>It is given in the Hadith narrated by Waqidi that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was taken from the gorge of Abu Talib (shi'b e Abu Talib) and it is given in Mojam Tabarani that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was in the house of Hadhrat Umme Hani (May Allah be well pleased with her) and she woke up in the night and did not find the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed">All these diverse Hadith are reconciled like this:<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was in the house of Hadhrat Umme Hani (May Allah be well pleased with her), which was in the gorge of Abu Talib.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>For this reason, the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) described the house as His house and said: &hellip;the roof of My house split.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>From the roof an angel descended and was in the service of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) from there to the Masjid Haraam.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>Then the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) rested in the Masjid Haraam and then the angel was in the service of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) through the door of the Masjid where the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) mounted the Buraq.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>(Umdatul Qari Bab Ul Meraj).</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed">That Hadhrat Umme Hani (May Allah be well pleased with her) was not a Muslim does not affect the authenticity of the journey, as in Makkah the command to break all relations with the non-Muslims and it is not mentioned anywhere about Hadhrat Umme Hani (May Allah be well pleased with her) that she had committed any form of Shirk.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) would go to her house to turn her to Islam and it is because of the blessings of these visits that she turned a Muslim.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed">In the narration of Hadith, every criticism is not to be accepted and every Dhaif (weakly-authenticated) Hadith is not unworthy of consideration.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>The Hadith of Hadhrat Umme Hani (May Allah be well pleased with her) is present in Mojam Kabeer of Imam Tabarani.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed">The interpreters of Sahih Bukhari, the Imams Hadhrat Badruddin Aini Hanafi and Hadhrat Ibn Hajr Asqalani (May Allah shower His Mercy on them) would not have reconciled this Hadith with others if this Hadith was not to be considered.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>They would have simply said that this Hadith is Dhaif.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>The word and opinion of these Imams of Hadith carries much weight.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed">&nbsp;</p>
