<p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span style="font-family:Verdana">Some people talk about seeking blessings (Barakah) from the relics of the Auliya and say that the deference and respect is shown to the clothes, for e.g. , of the Auliya.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>Of What use is it?</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL" style="mso-ascii-font-family:Verdana; mso-hansi-font-family:Verdana"> </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span style="font-family:Verdana">Hadhrat Muhaddith-E-Deccan Syed Abul Hasanaat Abdullah Shah Sahab (May Allah Ta’ala be well pleased with him) dispelled these thoughts and doubts which are created in the heart and the mind in a very simple manner.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>He writes in the Tafseer of verse number 96 of Surah Yousuf:</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL" style="mso-ascii-font-family:Verdana; mso-hansi-font-family:Verdana"> </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span style="font-family:Verdana">But when the bearer of the glad tidings arrived, and he cast that shirt over Ya‘qub (Jacob’s) face, his sight returned the same moment. Ya‘qub (Jacob) said: ‘Did I not say to you that I know from Allah what you do not know?’<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>(Surah Yousuf (12:96))</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL" style="mso-ascii-font-family:Verdana; mso-hansi-font-family:Verdana"> </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span style="font-family:Verdana">“Friends, if the company of the clothes is such then what about the company of the master of the clothes!<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>You can understand this yourself.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>This verse shows that the company of the Auliya and other righteous folk is beneficial.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>Many<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>of the modern educated people and among those who hold the traditional views, the Wahhabis deny the blessings of the clothes of the Auliya.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL" style="mso-ascii-font-family:Verdana; mso-hansi-font-family:Verdana"> </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span style="font-family:Verdana">This verse shows that their view is wrong.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>The blessings of the clothes of the Auliya cannot be denied.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>Blessings through sight is also established. </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL" style="mso-ascii-font-family:Verdana; mso-hansi-font-family:Verdana"> </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span style="font-family:Verdana">Translation of Hadith: The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) granted one of His garments to a Sahabi.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>He kept that for his funeral shroud (Kafan in Urdu) and willed that this should also be included in my funeral shroud.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL" style="mso-ascii-font-family:Verdana; mso-hansi-font-family:Verdana"> </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span style="font-family:Verdana">Translation of Hadith:<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>Once the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) distributed His hair, which the Sahabah preserved with great respect and care.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL" style="mso-ascii-font-family:Verdana; mso-hansi-font-family:Verdana"> </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span style="font-family:Verdana">A certain person said that a saint had given him a robe.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>He says that as long as he would be wearing that robe, no thought of sin, major or minor, would cross his heart/mind.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>First, I thought that this was a coincidence, but after repeated experiences, I realized that this is the blessing of the robe.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL" style="mso-ascii-font-family:Verdana; mso-hansi-font-family:Verdana"> </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed"><span style="font-family:Verdana">[Tafseer Surah Yousuf, Pg.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>No. 285]</span></p>
