Imam Hussain - The true Imam

<p class="MsoNormal">Some people hold the view that Imam Hussain's (May Allah be well pleased with him) going to Karbala and his martyrdom is a political matter and is a battle for the sake of gaining power.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal">And that after the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) commanded the Ummah to support Imam Hussain (May Allah be well pleased with him).</p> <p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal">Can anybody claim that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) gave the command to help somebody to get a seat of power or to support somebody in hankering after the material world?</p> <p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal">There is a Hadith in Kanzul 'Ummal:</p> <p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal">Translation of Hadith: Verily, My son Hussain (May Allah be well pleased with him) will be martyred in an area in Iraq, so whoever among the Ummah is present at that time, should stand up in support of him.&quot;</p> <p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal">How could Imam Hussain (May Allah be well pleased with him) desire the temporary power of this world when the whole creation gets the wealth of Taqwa (Fearing Allah) and piety from the doorstep of his house.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal">How could he desire this world, when the following Hadith of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was before him.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal">Translation: A whip's space of heaven is better than this world and everything in it.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal">Imam Hussain (May Allah be well pleased with him) is the leader of all the young men of the Jannah whose whip&rsquo;s length of space is better than this world.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal">There is a Hadith in Imam Baihaqi's Shu'abul Iman.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said:</p> <p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal">Translation of Hadith: There are 6 people, whom I curse and the prayer of every Prophet is accepted. (Among them are the following)</p> <p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="">1. <span style="">&nbsp;</span>The one who considers things declared Haraam by Allah as Halal.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="">2.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Who considers those things Halal about My Ahle Bait, which Allah has declared as Haraam i.e. who disrespects the Ahle Bait.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal">This shows that disrespect of the Ahle Bait leads to misguidance and destruction of faith.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal">There is a Hadith in Jame Tirmidhi.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal">Translation of Hadith: The narrator of the Hadith says: When I went to meet Hadhrat Umme Salma (May Allah <span style="">&nbsp;</span>be well pleased with her), she was crying.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>I asked her: What is the reason for your crying?<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Hadhrat Umme Salma (May Allah be well pleased with her) said: I saw a dream in which the Holy Prophet's (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) blessed face and hair were covered with dust.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Upon asking, He (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: I was present at Hussain's martyrdom in Karbala&hellip;..&quot;</p> <p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal">The presence of the Holy Prophet's (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) in the Battle of Karbala is a striking proof of Imam Hussain's truthfulness.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p>
