The first 2 days of Haj


<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><b><span style="">The first day of Haj:</span></b></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">On the 8<sup>th</sup> of Dhul Hijjah, offer Salaat Ul Fajr in Makkah and start for Mina after the sun rises.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><b><span style="">In Mina:</span></b></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">Mina is situated approximately 5 kilometers from Makkah between 2 mountains.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">Nowadays, for going to Mina, vehicles are provided by the &quot;Muallim.&quot;<span style="">&nbsp; </span>The Hajis are taken from their hotels in these cars, etc.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Most vehicles leave for Mina on the night of the 7<sup>th</sup>, so it is better to wear the Ihraam on 7<sup>th</sup> after Salaat Ul Isha, as there is no problem as per the Shariah in leaving for Mina on the night of the 7<sup>th</sup>.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">On the way to Mina, we should be busy in Talbeeh, Durud and other supplications.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Reach Mina before the Zuhr.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Offering Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha of the 8<sup>th</sup>, spending the night there and offering the Fajr of the 9<sup>th</sup> in Mina is a Sunnah </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><b><span style="">Note:</span></b><span style=""><span style="">&nbsp; </span>If 15 days have not passed after reaching Makkah and going to Mina, then <i>Qasr</i> should be performed for all the Fardh Salaat, which have 4 Raka'at, i.e. offer only 2 Raka'at.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">It is Mustahab to stay near Masjid Haif in Mina.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>However, one may stay wherever convenient.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>The government puts up tents, which are numbered for every Muallim.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>One can stay there also.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>In Mina, as per convenience, one should be busy in Talbeeh, Istighfaar (repentance) and other supplications.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Recite Durud as much as possible.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><b><span style="">Note:</span></b><span style=""><span style="">&nbsp; </span>If for some reason, the tent is outside the boundaries of Mina, then enter the boundaries of Mina and stay at some reasonable place.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><b><span style="">The second day of Haj:</span></b></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">This is the most important day of Haj, whose primary article is &quot;Wuquf-e-Arafaat&quot;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">On the 9<sup>th</sup> Dhul Hijjah, offer Salaat Ul Fajr in Mina and say the Takbeer Tashreeq.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">Takbeer Tashreeq is this:</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&quot;<i>Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar La Ilaha Illallahu Wallahu Akbar Allahu Akbar Wa Lillahi Hamd</i>&quot;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">It is Afdhal (more excellent) to say the Takbeer Tashriq thrice after each Fardh Salaat from the Fajr of the 9<sup>th</sup> Dhul Hijjah to the Asr of the 13<sup>th</sup> Dhul Hijjah.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">After this, one should be busy in Talbeeh, Dhikr and Durud.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">After the sun rises and there is some light, then one should start from Mina for Arafaat.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><b><span style="">Wuquf-e-Arafaat:</span></b></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">Wuquf-e-Arafaat is staying in Arafaat, be it for 1 moment after the twelve noon (Zawaal) of the 9th of Dhul Hijjah to the dawn (Subah Sadiq) of the 10th.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>However, staying in Arafaat from noon until sunset is Wajib.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>In Arafaat, excepting <i>Batane 'Arana</i>, one stay wherever one likes.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>However, it is Afdhal to stay near <i>Jabal-e-Rahmat</i>.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">One should remain busy in Talbeeh, Dhikr, Dua, Istighfaar and the 4<sup>th</sup> Kalima of Tauheed.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>One should finish off eating and other activities of daily living before noon. <span style="">&nbsp;</span>Then taking a bath (<i>Ghusl</i>) is Masnoon (Sunnah).<span style="">&nbsp; </span>However, making a Wuzu is also enough. <span style="">&nbsp;</span>If one is offering Salaat behind the Imam in Masjid Nimra, then Salaat Ul Zuhr and Salaat Ul 'Asr are offered with 1 Adhaan and 2 Iqaamah. <span style="">&nbsp;</span>If you are offering Salaat in Arafaat, outside of Masjid Nimra, then offer Salaat Ul Zuhr and Salaat Ul 'Asr at their respective timings.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">After the Salaat, one should spend the time until the sunset in crying before Allah Ta'ala, Durud, Dhikr, Dua, etc.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">After the sun sets, start for Muzdalifa from Arafaat and busy yourself in Talbeeh, Takbeer, Durud and other Dua.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">Note:<span style="">&nbsp; </span>It is not correct to offer Salaat Ul Maghrib in Arafaat or Muzdalifa.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">It is Afdhal to stay near the mountain named Mash'ar Haraam. <span style="">&nbsp;</span>Neither stay in the valley of Mahsar nor pass through it.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">It is a Sunnah to take a bath (Ghusl) after Muzdalifa, otherwise Wuzu is also enough.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Even if the time for Salaat Ul Maghrib is there, don&rsquo;t offer it. <span style="">&nbsp;</span>When the time for Salaat Ul Isha starts, offer both Salaat with one Adhaan and one Iqaamah with the intention (<i>Niyyah</i>) of offering the actual Salaat and not Qaza of the Salaat. <span style="">&nbsp;</span>It is Wajib to offer Salaat Ul Maghrib and Salaat Ul Isha combined at the time of Salaat Ul Isha. <span style="">&nbsp;</span>It is Afdhal to offer it with the congregation (Jam'aat). <span style="">&nbsp;</span>Don&rsquo;t offer the Sunnah of Maghrib Salaat after Fardh, but offer the Fardh of Isha instead. <span style="">&nbsp;</span>Then offer the Sunnah of Maghrib, then the Sunnah and Witr of Isha. <span style="">&nbsp;</span>It is a Sunnah Moukkada (compulsory Sunnah) to spend the night in Muzdalifa.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">After offering Salaat, spend the time in Talbeeh, Takbeer, Durud and crying before Allah Ta'ala and supplicating. <span style="">&nbsp;</span>It is Wajib to stay in Muzdalifa in the time interval dawn (Subah Sadiq) and the first light of the day, at least for some time.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>It is a Sunnah to stay there until the sun rises.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>It is Mustahab (commendable) to offer Salaat Ul Fajr at the earliest time.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p>
