Sayings of Hadhrat Khwaja Bandanawaz

<p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">Some sayings of Hadhrat Khwaja Bandanawaz (May Allah shower His mercy on him):</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><b><i><span style="font-size: 14pt;">The love of this world and concern for Aakhirah &ndash; An analysis:</span></i></b></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">One day, there was a mention of this material world (<i>Dunya</i>) and condemnation of those who love it.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Hadhrat Khwaja Bandanawaz (May Allah shower His mercy on him) said: In the present world, if somebody is asked: Is this world better or the Aakhirah?<span style="">&nbsp; </span>That person will definitely answer: Aakhirah.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>However, when you look at the condition of that person that when that person loses some money from his pocket, then out of grief that person will stop eating and drinking and it will affect his heart so much that it cannot be expressed.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>On the other hand, if somebody misses a Salaat, then if that person is a religious Muslim, once or twice he will say: <i>Astaghfirullah</i> i.e. May Allah Ta'ala forgive me and this matter will be forgotten.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Neither does missing the Salaat has such an effect on his heart nor does he miss food or drink over it.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">This shows that the words of those who love this world are merely on the tip of their tongues.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>This talk does not have any relation with the heart.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><b><i><span style="font-size: 14pt;">There is no honesty in these times</span></i></b></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">It is mentioned in Qut Al Qulub that there was a time that people would go to the market and ask the policemen and other officials as to whom should they have dealings with?<span style="">&nbsp; </span>The policemen and others would all say that all the shopkeepers are honest and they may have dealings with anybody whom they want to.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>After this, there was a time when it was said that so and so shopkeepers are dishonest.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Don&rsquo;t go to them.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Apart from them, have dealings with whomever you want to.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Then a time came when it was said that don&rsquo;t have dealings with anybody except so and so.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>After this, there is a time when no one is honest and that is our time.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">Obviously, it is very difficult to traverse the path of <i>Sulook</i> in an era in which there is so much dishonesty.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">Islam was in its most perfect and beautiful state in the era of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).<span style="">&nbsp; </span>The era of the first 4 Rashid Caliphs was also like the era of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).<span style="">&nbsp; </span>After this, the era of the Tab'ieen and the Tabe' Tab'ieen was also a respite.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>After that era, Islam did not remain in its original state.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>In the present times, there is neither religion nor religious people.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Only anecdotes and stories remain.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><b><i><span style="font-size: 14pt;">What is written in our fate is immutable</span></i></b></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">Once there was some talk about medicines, etc.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Hadhrat Khwaja said: The medicine does not have any effect by itself.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>If Allah Ta'ala has decreed in fate that this medicine should have effect, then that medicine will be effective and therapeutic for those who are ill. <span style="">&nbsp;</span>Otherwise, what is written in fate is unalterable and cannot be changed with anything.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="LTR" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="">Hadhrat Moosa (Peace be upon him) asked Allah Ta'ala:<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Is what is decreed changed by a medicine? <span style="">&nbsp;</span>Allah Ta'ala said: No.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Hadhrat Moosa (Peace be upon him) asked: Then why do these doctors treat people?<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Allah Ta'ala said: Doctors earn their bread by this profession and make my slaves happy.</span></p>
