Hafidh of the Holy Quran is established in many Hadith.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>The great Muhaddith (Hadith-expert) of the 10th century, Ali Muttaqi Hindi (May Allah Ta’ala shower His Mercy on him) has recorded Hadith in Kanz Ul Ummal about the excellence and superiority of a Hafidh:</span></p> <p style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed" dir="LTR" class="MsoNormal"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL"> </span></p> <p style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed" dir="LTR" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:12.0pt">Translation of Hadith: The Hafidh of the Holy Quran is the standard-bearer of Islam.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>Whoever respects a Hafidh, undoubtedly respects Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala).<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>Allah's (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) curse is on those who disrespects a Hafidh.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>(Kanz Ul Ummal, Hadith No: 2294)</span></p> <p style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed" dir="LTR" class="MsoNormal"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL"> </span></p> <p style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed" dir="LTR" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:12.0pt">There is a Hadith in Musnad Ahmed:</span></p> <p style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed" dir="LTR" class="MsoNormal"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL"> </span></p> <p style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed" dir="LTR" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:12.0pt">Translation of Hadith: Hadhrat Abdullah bin Amr (May Allah be well pleased with him) narrates from the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) that He (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said:</span></p> <p style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed" dir="LTR" class="MsoNormal"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL"> </span></p> <p style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed" dir="LTR" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:12.0pt">It will told to a Hafidh of the Holy Quran: Keep reciting the Holy Quran and keep ascending the stations of Jannah.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>Recite with Tartil (slowly, following the rules of recitation) the way you recited in the world, because your final station (of Jannah) will be where you are when you recite the last verse of the Holy Quran.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>(Musnad Ahmed, style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed" dir="LTR" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:12.0pt">Reciting the whole Holy Quran once in Taraweeh is a Sunnah, finishing it 2 times is excellence and finishing it 3 times is the best (Afdhal).<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>(Durre Mukhtaar, Vol. 1)</span></p> <p style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed" dir="LTR" class="MsoNormal"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL"> </span></p> <p style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed" dir="LTR" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:12.0pt">It is better for the Hafidh to recite the Holy Quran in Taraweeh than offering Taraweeh after somebody, as this keeps the Holy Quran firmly fixed in memory.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>When Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) has given the benefit of memorization of the entire Holy Quran, it should be recited in Taraweeh as there are many blessings for those who recite it and for those listen to its recitation.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span></span></p> <p style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed" dir="LTR" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:12.0pt"> </span></p> <p style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed" dir="LTR" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:12.0pt">They should avoid reciting the Holy Quran very fast.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>The recitation should be such that all the letters are pronounced properly.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>As given in Durre Mukhtaar, Vol. Pg No. 531 and in Fatawa A'alamgiri, Vol. 1, Pg No. 79. </span></p> <p style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed" dir="LTR" class="MsoNormal"><span lang="AR-SA" dir="RTL"> </span></p> <p style="text-align:left;direction:ltr;unicode-bidi: embed" dir="LTR" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:12.0pt">While reciting the Holy Quran, the Huffadh should make allowance for all the rights and etiquettes of reciting the Holy Quran, because the Imam is responsible for the Salaat of all those who follow him.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>There is a
