<style type="text/css"></style> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><b>Martyrdom of the leader of martyrs Hadhrat Ameer Hamza (May Allah Ta&rsquo;ala be well pleased with him)</b></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">The leader of the martyrs Hadhrat Ameer Hamza (May Allah Ta&rsquo;ala be well pleased with him) is the uncle of the Holy Prophet, Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">In the battle of Uhud Hadhrat Ameer Hamza (May Allah Ta&rsquo;ala be well pleased with him) fought with bravery and courage with the people of Makkah.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">Hinda bint Utba had an Abyssinian slave called Wahshi who was an expert spear&#8209;thrower (who later on embraced Islam and became a Sahabi) Hinda told him that if you kill Hadhrat Hamza (May Allah Ta&rsquo;ala be well pleased with him) in the battle, you will be freed.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>He kept an eye at Hadhrat Ameer Hamza (May Allah Ta&rsquo;ala be well pleased with him) and he was looking for a chance to target Hadhrat Ameer Hamza (May Allah Ta&rsquo;ala be well pleased with him).<span style="">&nbsp; </span>He stood at one place and was hiding there.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>During the battle when Hadhrat Ameer Hamza (May Allah Ta&rsquo;ala be well pleased with him) was fighting and came closer to him, he attacked him with a spear which pierced his stomach and came out of his back. <span style="">&nbsp;</span>He was martyred.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Then Hinda insulted the body of Hadhrat Ameer Hamza (May Allah Ta&rsquo;ala be well pleased with him), tore open his stomach, took out the liver and tried to eat it.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>However, she wasn't able to swallow it.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">Later on, both of them had the honor of embracing Islam.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><b>Hadhrat Hanzlah, the one who was bathed by the angels</b></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">Hadhrat Hanzlah fought very bravely and cut through the ranks of the Quraish and reached the command center of the army. <span style="">&nbsp;</span>He was about to kill Abu Sufyan, when a rogue by name Shaddad, attacked him and Hadhrat Hanzlah was martyred.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>When the war stopped, the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) told about him:<span style="">&nbsp; </span>The angels are giving a bath to Hanzlah.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">The night before the battle, Hadhrat Hanzlah (May Allah Ta&rsquo;ala be well pleased with him) was with his wife and when he heard the call of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) in the morning, he could not even bear the delay of taking a bath. <span style="">&nbsp;</span>He entered the battlefield in the same state and achieved the honor of martyrdom. <span style="">&nbsp;</span>The angels bathed him.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>That is why, he is called Hanzlah <i>Ghaseel Ul Malaikah</i>, literally the one who was bathed by the angels.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><b>The martyrdom of Hadhrat Mus'ab Bin Umair</b></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">The standard of Islam was in the hands of Hadhrat Mus'ab Bin Umair. <span style="">&nbsp;</span>An enemy soldier suddenly attacked him and hacked at his right hand in such a way that it was separated from his body.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>He immediately transferred the standard to his left hand.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>He hacked at his left arm in the same way with the same result. <span style="">&nbsp;</span>Hadhrat Mus'ab then clutched the standard to his chest.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Then he was attacked with an arrow and was martyred.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><b>His eye became even better than before</b></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">In the battle of Uhud, Hadhrat Qatadah Bin Noman (May Allah Ta&rsquo;ala be well pleased with him) took an arrow in his eye and his eye fell out because of it.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>He immediately went to the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) with his eye in his hand.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: O Qatadah! If you can, be patient.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Jannah is for you.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>If you want, I will give you back the eye.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">Hadhrat Qatadah (May Allah Ta&rsquo;ala be well pleased with him) said:<span style="">&nbsp; </span>O Prophet of Allah (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)! <span style="">&nbsp;</span>Indeed Jannah is a very great reward, but O Prophet of Allah (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)! It can also be that you return my eye and grant me Jannah.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: Fine.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">Then with His blessed hand, He placed the eye back in its socket and this eye became even brighter than the other one and the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) also prayed for Jannah for him.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>(Zurqani Alal Mawahib, Vol. 2, Pg. No: 432)</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">In the narration by Hadhrat Imam Waqidi (May Allah Ta&rsquo;ala be well pleased with him), the following words are added:<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Even in the old age of Hadhrat Qatadah, this eye had more sight and beauty than the other one.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><b>A date palm stick became a sword</b></p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;">In the battle of Uhud, the sword of Hadhrat Abdullah Bin Jahsh (May Allah Ta&rsquo;ala be well pleased with him). <span style="">&nbsp;</span>He came to the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) and complained of it. <span style="">&nbsp;</span>The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) granted him a date palm stick. <span style="">&nbsp;</span>The moment he took it, it turned into a sword. <span style="">&nbsp;</span>(Baihaqui, Khasaais Ul Kubra, Vol. 1, Pg.
