HIS SWEAT AND OTHER EXCRETIONS

Beads of sweat on His face would seem like pearls. Hadhrat Aisha Siddiqa (May Allah be well pleased with him) says, "The sweat of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) would seem like lustrous pearls on His face and its fragrance would be better than musk."

His sweat was more fragrant than musk or any other perfume. Umar the great (May Allah be well pleased with Him) says, "The fragrance of His sweat is the fragrance of musk. My mother and father for Him, I have never seen anybody like Him either before Him or after Him.” (Subul ul Huda war rashad, Vol 2, Pg No: 85)

Hadhrat Anas (May Allah be well pleased with him) says, “I have never smelt any fragrance better than the sweat of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) .” (Jame’ Tirmidhi, Vol 2, Pg No: 21)

Hadhrat Umme Saleem (May Allah be well pleased with him) says, "The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) used to rest in our house and take some rest. She would collect the sweat of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) and use it as a fragrance. The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) asked her, “O Umme Saleem, What are you doing?” She said, “O Prophet of Allah (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) , this is Your sweat which we use as a fragrance and this the best fragrance.” In Sahih Muslim's narration of this Hadith, she says, " O Prophet of Allah (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), we seek blessings from it for our children. He (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said, What you are doing is right." (Sahih Muslim, Vol 2, Pg No: 257, Zujajatul Masabeeh, Vol 5, Pg No: 32/33).

The son of Hadhrat Umme Saleem (May Allah be well pleased with him), Hadhrat Anas bin Malik (May Allah be well pleased with him), at the time of his passing away, willed that the sweat of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) be used as a fragrance in his funeral shroud. (Zujajatul Masabeeh, explanatory notes, Vol 5, Pg No: 33, on the authority of Mirqaat)

Whenever, the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) relieved Himself, the earth would swallow His feces. That spot would be fragrant like musk, as given in the Hadith: "It has been narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Aisha (May Allah be well pleased with her) that she asked: " O Prophet of Allah (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), I have seen that You go to relieve yourself and the person who goes after you does not find anything there. The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: O Aisha (May Allah be well pleased with her) Don't you know that Allah SWT has commanded the earth to swallow the feces of the Prophets?(May Allah’s SWT peace be upon all of them) (Khasais ul Kubra Vol 1, Pg No: 17, Kanzul Ummal, Vol 14, Pg No: 117)

Hadhrat Shaykh Ul Islam Imam Muhammad Anwarullah Farooqui makes a fine observation after relating a Hadith from Ash- Shifa. He says: Imam Ayaz (May Allah SWT shower His Mercy on him) has related a Hadith that whenever the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) relieved Himself, the earth would sallow up His feces and only fragrance would be left at that spot. Now tell me, is there anyone who claims that his body gives fragrance? Finding this out is easy.
Whoever makes such a claim should be made to wear woolen clothes in summer and should be seated in the sun. Then a stranger should be asked to sit beside him. If that stranger does not run away muttering under his breath, then we will talk. This will show that the stink was of that person's body only. Can the claim that such stinking bodies are equivalent to the fragrant feces be acceptable? Never. This is the grandeur of His feces that they are a thousand times better than the bodies of others.” (Maqasid ul Islam, 9th part, Pg No: 264-266)
