NIKAH THROUGH PHONE OR INTERNET

<div style="text-align: left">In the light of the Holy Quran and the Hadith, the Fuqaha (Jurists) have said that offer and acceptance of the Nikah should happen only in one assembly. <br /> <br /> Thus, if the groom and the bride offer and accept directly through the phone or Internet, the Nikah will not be done at all. <br /> <br /> But, the person who is not present should make a person who is present as his/her representative through the phone or Internet and if that person performs the offer and acceptance with the bride or groom as a representative, then the Nikah will be established as the offer and/or acceptance of the representative is considered as the offer/acceptance of the person being represented.
