As per the Hanafi school of Fiqh, saying Aameen softly is a Sunnah, as per the <span style="color: #000000"><span style="background-color: #ffffff">Hadith in</span></span><span style="color: #ffffff"><span style="background-color: #ffffff"><b> </b></span></span><span style="color: #993300"><span style="background-color: #ffffff"><b>(Jame’ Tirmidhi, Vol. 1, Pg No: 58, Hadith No: 231)<br /> <br /> </b></span></span><span style="color: #ff0000"><b>Translation of Hadith</b></span>: <i> </i>Hadhrat ‘Alqama BinWail (May Allah Ta’ala be well pleased with him) narrates on the authority of his father that the <b>Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)</b> recited :Ghairil Maghzoobi Alaihim Waladh Dhalleen and said Aameen and said it in a soft voice. <br /> <br /> Imam Hakim (May Allah Ta’ala shower His mercy on him) recorded this Hadith in his Mustadrak ‘Alas Sahihain and wrote along with it: This Hadith is Sahih (rigorously authenticated) as per the conditions set by Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim. <span style="color: #993300"><b> (Mustadrak ‘Alas Sahihain, Hadith No: 2866)<br /> <br /> </b></span>Apart from this, other Hadith are also present in the books of Hadith, which show that Aameen ought to be said softly. In light of these Hadith, the Fuqaha (jurists) of the Hanafi school of Fiqh have declared saying Aameen softly as a Sunnah. If Aameen is said in a loud voice, then it is Makruh, but Salaat is not rendered invalid because of this. <br /> <br /> As given in (<span style="color: #993300"><b>Fatawa A’alamgiri, Vol. 1, Pg No: 72 and Pg No: 107)</b></span><br /> <br /> In the opinion of Imam Shafa’ee (May Allah Ta’ala be well pleased with him), saying Aameen in a loud voice is Mandub (commendable) and there are Hadith which support his opinion also. <br />
