POETRY OF HAZRATH ABBAS IN PRAISE OF THE HOLY PROPHET


There are Hadith about this in Imam Hakim's Mustadrak, Imam Tabarani's Mo&rsquo;jam Kabeer and Allama Haithami's Majma Uz Zawaaid that while returning from the Battle of Tabuk, the <b>Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), </b><i>Hadhrat Abbas (May Allah be well pleased with him)</i> asked the <b>Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)</b> to permit him to recite some couplets in praise of the <b>Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).&nbsp;&nbsp;</b>With blessings, the<b> Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) </b>permitted him.&nbsp;&nbsp;Then, <i>Hadhrat Abbas (May Allah be well pleased with him)</i> said the couplets.<br /> <br /> The Hadith in Imam Hakim's Mustadrak 'Alas Sahihain is being presented here:<br /> <br /> <span style="color: #cc99ff">Translation of Hadith:&nbsp;</span>&nbsp;Hadhrat Khuraim bin Aus bin Haritha bin Lam (May Allah be well pleased with him) says:&nbsp;&nbsp;When the <b>Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)</b> was returning from Tabuk, I migrated to Him (Hijrah) and embraced Islam.&nbsp;&nbsp;I heard Hadhrat Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib (May Allah be well pleased with him) requesting the <b>Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) </b>in these words: O Prophet of Allah! I want to praise You.&nbsp;&nbsp;Then the <b>Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) </b>said: You praise Me, may Allah make your face beautiful.&nbsp;&nbsp;Among the couplets of <i>Hadhrat Abbas (May Allah be well pleased with him) </i>were that:<br /> <br /> When You arrived in this world, the earth became illuminated;<br /> With Your Noor, the horizons became radiant.<br /> <br /> <span style="color: #993300">(Mo&rsquo;jam Kabeer, Tabarani, Hadith No: 4057,<br /> Mustadrak 'Alas Sahihain, Hadith No: 5426.<br /> Majma Uz Zawaaid, Vol. 8, Pg No. 217)</span><br /> <br /> Also, in <span style="color: #993300">Mo&rsquo;jam Kabeer and Majma Uz Zawaaid</span> , the following words are also reported:<br /> <br /> we are covering the paths of guidance in the light of this Noor.<br />
