The arrival of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) is a great favor on the Ummah. With the blessings of His arrival, the darkness of ignorance was dispelled and the world was illuminated with the light of knowledge and gnosis. The clouds of disbelief were scattered and the standard of Islam flew from everywhere. It was only after His arrival that human being got all their rights, humanity was freed from the yoke of polytheism and idol worship and was granted the eternal wealth of gnosis and realization of Almighty Allah.
The birth of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) is mentioned in many verses of the Holy Quran. Almighty Allah has mentioned the birth of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) in very beautiful tones and has done so using various approaches.
These the words of Mufti Syed Ziauddin Naqshbandi, Professor, Islamic Law, Jamia Nizamia, Founder-Director Abul Hasanaat Islamic Research Center, in the weekly lecture at Masjid Abul Hasanaat, Jahanuma, which was held under the auspices of AHIRC.
The revered Mufti said that the Holy Quran has mentioned the birth and arrival of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) in 5 ways.
First, Almighty Allah has declared that I am going to send My Prophet.
Second, by making the Prophets promise that when I send My Prophet, you should follow Him and help Him.
Third, by declaring that the Prophet has arrived after His birth.
Fourth, by the supplications of the Prophets for the coming of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).
Fifth, by the Prophets foretelling the arrival of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).
Then the revered Mufti presented the verses of the Holy Quran and described the subtleties
He said quoting verse no. 129 of Surah Baqarah that Hadhrat Ibrahim and Hadhrat Ismail (May peace be upon him) prayed for the coming of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) after finishing the construction of the Ka’aba.
O our Lord! Raise up from amongst them the (Last and the Exalted) Messenger (Muhammad [blessings and peace be upon him]), who shall recite to them Your Revelations, and teach them the Book and wisdom (logic and good judgment, making them gnostics of the divine secret), and purify and sanctify (their hearts and ill-commanding selves). Certainly, You alone are All-Mighty, All-Wise.’ Surah Baqarah (2:129)
The revered Mufti said that the Holy Quran doesn’t mention all the supplications of all the Prophets. Even all supplications of Hadhrat Ibrahim (May peace be upon him) are also mentioned. However, this supplication for the coming of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) has been mentioned in its entirety and has been made a part of the Holy Quran so that the world understands that not only did the Prophets pray for the coming of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), but Almighty Allah has made these words of the Prophets a part of the Holy Quran as well.
The revered Mufti quoted verse no. 6 of Surah Saff that when Prophet Isa (May peace be upon him) described the duties of his Prophethood, he said that he had been sent as the one who gives glad tidings of the coming of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), as is mentioned in the Holy Quran:
(And also recall) when ‘Isa, the son of Maryam (Jesus, the son of Mary) said: ‘O Children of Israel, indeed I am (a Messenger) sent to you by Allah, confirming the Torah, the Book which came before me, and bearing the good news of (the pleasant arrival) of (the Esteemed) Messenger (blessings and peace be upon him) who will come after me, whose name is Ahmad (now in the heavens).’ But when he (the Last of the Messengers) came to them with clear signs, they said: ‘This is open magic.’ Surah Saff (61:6)
He said that there are various words in Arabic that give the meaning of conveying or informing but the word used here means one who gives glad tidings.
In the verses of the Holy Quran, at some places the coming of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) is described as mercy for the universe and at other places, it is described as a great favor.
The revered Mufti made a special prayer for the release and good health of the honorable MLA of Chandayangutta, Mr. Akbaruddin Owaisi at the end of the session. Many scholars and Shaykhs were present apart from a considerable number of general public. Maulana Hafidh Syed Ahmed Ghouri, Teacher, Jamia Nizamia, led the proceedings.
