Thus hundreds of miracles were expressed at the hands of the slaves of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam). The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) could have shown anything against the delegation of Christians of Najraan. But there the intention was to conceal one’s greatness. In fact, the overriding concern would be the will of Almighty Allah. Thus, this is what happened on this occasion as well. When it was ordered that Mubahila be done, the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) also readied Himself for it. This is the attribute of servitude to Almighty Allah.
Obviously, people will object that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) couldn’t express any miracles when the disbelievers challenged Him to. For this reason, all the Traditions in which miracles are expressed are fake and fabricated. This is simply a hammered-out thought of theirs. The realm of Islam has no place for such thought. This is the world of the Lord Almighty in which the intellect is powerless. Just think of it. The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) stood up against the whole world and started inviting warring tribes to a religion which they didn’t know of nor their forefathers knew of. He spoke against their idols, which they used to worship. Although all the disbelievers were baying for the blood of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), they couldn’t do a thing to Him. Thus, trying to think up something against the will and design of Almighty Allah is to throw oneself into the abyss of destruction. Who knows what design of Allah Most High was there that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was not ordered to express any miracle although thousands of miracles were expressed day and night. However, one thing we can understand with this is that Almighty Allah doesn’t like egoism. Servitude is greatly acceptable in the court of Almighty Allah.
For this reason, the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) appointed Hadhrat Usama bin Zaid (May Allah be well pleased with them) as the commander of an army towards
