Almighty Allah wants to make us His own. We shouldn’t leave Him and run helter‑skelter after others and we shouldn’t disobey Him and spoil our hereafter. The way all of us believe in One Lord, if become His as well, then we will always be in peace and contentment. Then, we will gain such contentment that a kid feels in the mother’s lap, totally content and carefree. For this reason, always keep obeying and following the commands of Almighty Allah and He Himself will take you to be His.
Love of Allah increases with obedience and dutifulness. Those people who heed the words of the Prophets and obey Almighty Allah, when they die, angels take their souls to the skies and the doors of the skies are opened for them. Every angel who meets them praises and congratulates them. Prayers of mercy are said for them and their fragrance spreads all around. When that soul is presented before Almighty Allah, the Lord Almighty grants much to it and orders thus: Let the soul of My servant be placed in the highest stations (A’ala ‘Iliyyeen) and let him be in touch with the grave as well. We have created him from soil and from soil will We resurrect him.
This kind of people don’t have any fear of the questioning angels (Munkir & Nakeer) after their death.
On the other hand, those people who don’t obey the laws of Almighty Allah and keep going against the Prophets, their souls are also taken to the skies by the angels. Whichever group of angels they pass, ask: Which wretch’s soul is this? The angels taking the soul name this person along with the parentage. They reach the skies and want the doors to be opened, but the door of the skies doesn’t open. An order is issued: Cast him (or her) down! And this soul is cast down and remains imprisoned in the very bowels of earth (Sijjeen) and is still in touch with the grave.
Son! Be careful when going against the commands of Allah Most High. Rebelliousness and disobedience is very bad. We don’t have enough strength to save ourselves from even a fly. When the Lord wills, He can slay us with an ant.
Just think! Whither Nimrod and whither a mosquito! When Almighty Allah willed it so, He troubled Nimrod with a mosquito and showed that a small slave of ours is enough for a haughty king like Nimrod.
If there is any way of being saved, it is to turn to Allah and obey Him. When He becomes your Protector, no one can do anything. Thus, if you want to save yourself from the army of Allah, then come into His refuge with obedience to Him.
Obedience increases Love of Allah. Our Islam is through obedience only. Unless and until you follow Allah’s commands absolutely, you will not be a Muslim. Following His commands and acting on them is necessary. One doesn’t become a true believer with namesake obedience. Instead acting on the commands sincerely with an open heart with no straitening of the bosom is true obedience.
