Some of us were waiting for Ramadhan and went and lay down in their graves in their wait itself. We are so lucky that we got a chance to meet Ramadhan once again. What status does Ramadhan have!
Each and every moment of Ramadhan is full with mercy and blessings of Allah Most High. Even a Supererogatory (Nafl) prayer offered in this month is rewarded like a Obligatory (Fardh) in other months and the reward of an Obligatory deed is increased by 70 times. In this month, the devils, which cast whispers in the hearts of human beings, are imprisoned. No devil would dare to hinder anyone from performing a virtuous act or put the thought of an evil deed.
Hadhrat Hasan Basri (May Allah Most High shower His mercy on him), the close student/disciple of Hadhrat Ali (May Allah be well pleased with him) says:
The security of the heavens is with Hadhrat Jibreel (peace be upon him), as long as he stays in them, the skies will be secure.
The security of the earth is through the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam). As long as He (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) is here, the dwellers of the earth will remain secure.
The security of the Ummah of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) is with Ramadhan. As long as this Ummah values Ramadhan, respects it and acts upon its rules, they will be secure and safe. For this reason, the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: If Allah Most High had desired to punish my Ummah like the nations of A’ad and Thamud, then He would not have given the Surah Ikhlas (Qul Huwallahu Ahad) and Ramadhan.
The month of Ramadhan is about to leave us, these blessed moments are bidding farewell to us, only some moments are left out of it. We should value them and try to gain the maximum benefit out of them.
The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) would instruct the Companions to be thankful for the bounties of Allah Most High and to value time, as given in the Hadith:
Translation: It is narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Abdullah Bin Abbas (May Allah be well pleased with him), the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) advised a person: You consider 5 things as a respite before 5 things. Your youth before old age, health before illness, affluence before need, leisure before busyness and life before death. (Shua’bul Iman, Hadith No: 9882)
