Some good deeds and bad deeds

The love of Allah Most High and His Beloved Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) should be more than anything else.  The real religion is the love of Allah Most High.  Please remember that whatever we do is all being stored up somewhere and will be expressed one day without any increase or decrease in it and at that time, no excuse will be of any use.

The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

This world is a farm for the hereafter.

As whatever you sow here, you will ream there.  Don’t sow Dhatura and hope for wheat.

Good deeds:  It should be remembered that the following are all good deeds:  Reciting the declaration of faith (Kalima) with sincerity.  Gladdening the heart of every living thing.  Feeding a hungry person or quenching the thirst of a thirsty person, feeling happy on the coming of a guest and hosting the guest to the best of one’s ability, not revealing anyone’s secret, being patient on difficulties and tribulations, returning good with evil, providing a resting place for dervishes and needy folk, mortifying one’s own self, not talking lewdly, not having any forbidden or doubtful morsel of food, keeping in mind the rights of the neighbors, i.e. to participate in their joys and sorrows, calling upon the sick, controlling and dispelling one’s anger, forgiving the faults of others, being in good company, busying oneself in the remembrance of Allah Most High, helping the oppressed and giving them justice, reciting the Kalima and other supplications in Wudhu, being punctual on the Sunnah before Salaat Ul ‘Asr and Salaat Ul ‘Isha, reciting Aayat Ul Kursi and Tasbeehaat-e-Fatima after each Obligatory Salaat, this should be recited after the Sunnah and supererogatory Salaat of Zuhr, Maghrib and ‘Isha and after the Obligatory Salaat of Fajr and ‘Asr.  Not asking anything f anybody and not denying if somebody asks something of you, being obedient to Allah Most High, staying away from fame, being silent most of the time, not making lewd talk, being gentle and humble with the creation of Allah Most High, not being miserly, serving one’s parents.  All these are those deeds which lead one to enter paradise.

Bad deeds:  Ascribing partners to Almighty Allah.  Leaving even 1 Salaat without any valid reason, following one’s desires, being proud, committing forbidden deeds, being in the company of those people who are involved in sins, disrespecting the elders, scolding a beggar, deliberately leaving congregational Salaat and Friday Salaat, not returning the Salaam, backbiting, not fulfilling obligatory acts, addressing someone with a bad name, not considering sins as sins.
