Visiting the Holy Prophet - A means of eternal blessings

Visiting the Raudha of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) is a means of eternal blessings.

Visiting the Raudha (the court) of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) is a means of earning eternal blessings. The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) has given glad tidings of His Shafa’at (intercession) to those who visit Him. Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) has declared paying our respects to Him as the best means of getting our sins forgiven and getting our repentance ( Tauba ) accepted; Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) has also declared His Raudha as the place where special mercy of Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) descends. Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) says:

We sent not an Messenger but to be obeyed, in accordance with the Will of Allah. If they had only, when they were unjust to themselves come unto thee and asked Allah's forgiveness and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah indeed Oft-Returning, Most Merciful. (64) Surah Nisa (4:64)

These are the words of Mufti Syed Ziauddin Naqshbandi Qadri, Naib Shaykh Ul Fiqh, Jamia Nizamia & Founder/Director Abul Hasanaat Islamic Research Center in the weekly lecture series at Masjid Abul Hasanaat, which are organized by Abul Hasanaat Islamic Research Center . Mufti Sahab said that Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) only grants this privilege to a few among many.

The interpreter of Sahih Bukhari, Imam Qustullani has mentioned a tradition that Hadhrat Hatim Asamm (May Allah shower His Mercy on him) went to pay his respects to the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam). He stood there and prayed: O Allah! I am standing at the door of Your Beloved, don’t return me empty handed. He heard a voice: If we had not wanted to accept you, we would never have brought you here. You are returning in such a state I have forgiven you and along with you, all the visitors.

Mufti Sahab said that the Holy Quran and the Hadith not only have the command of visiting the Raudha of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), but they encourage and inspire us to do so and declare not doing so as the sign of the hypocrites ( Munafiqin ).

Three days after the passing away of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), a Bedouin came to the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) and started crying. He said: O Prophet of Allah! (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), it is the command of Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) and he recited the aforementioned verse of Surah Nisa. I have oppressed myself a lot and now, I come to Your great door. O Prophet of Allah! Please intercede before Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) for me. Then he recited a few couplets:

O best of the worlds!
Whose person the earth kisses
The lands and the mounds are purified by Your presence
My life for this Raudha in which You rest
which has purity, generosity and pardon.
 

A voice came from the blessed grave: You have been forgiven.

Mufti Sahab said that Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) has granted these couplets such acceptance that even today they are written on the grill before the blessed grave of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) and light the hearts of the visitors.
