In the weekly lecture organized by Abul Hasanaat Islamic Research Center, Shaykh Ul Huffaz, Maulana Dr Shaykh Ahmed Mohiuddin Sharafi, founder Dar Ul Uloom Nomaniya and chief advisor Abul Hasanaat Islamic Research Center that Islam is the religion of truth. Those who side with falsehood always try to wipe out the truth and when they can’t do that, they start oppressing those who side with truth. In the same way, the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) and His companions were troubled and oppressed in various ways. The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was blamed to be magician, may Allah Ta’ala protect us from all this. When He (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) would offer Salaat in the Ka'aba, they would try to strangle Him and when the Holy Quran would be recited publicly, they would whistle and clap to make noise.
The oppression of the disbelievers was not limited to the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), but even the Sahabah, the companions of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) were troubled in various ways. Someone was made to lie on fire and someone else would be made to lie down nude on hot sand and a heavy stone would be placed on the chest. Someone would be imprisoned and someone else’s hands and feet would be tied and smoke let into the nose so that even taking a breath would become difficult. Someone would be branded with a hot iron and someone else would be plunged in the water so much that they could not even taking a breath would become difficult.
The companions of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) would be tortured in various ways. The disbelievers did not left any stone unturned in troubling them, but the Sahabah remained steadfast on Islam, so much that they did not even budge an inch from it. They were tortured in the worst possible ways, but they did not even sway from their faith and they became such examples of courage that history is hard pressed to give such examples.
When the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) saw that the Sahabah were living in peace in Madina, He (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) gave the order for migration (Hijrat) to Madina. Thus, first of all, Hadhrat Abu Salma (May Allah be well pleased with him) performed the Hijrat. Then other Sahabah also migrated secretly.
