The wives of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)

The wives of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) are the mothers of all the Muslims.  Their status is so high that no woman on earth is like them.  The Holy Quran says:

 

O! Wives of the Holy Prophet! You are not like other women!  (Surah Al Ahzaab:23)

 

The wives of the Holy Prophet are the mothers of all the Muslims and marrying them is forbidden.  There is no veil with the biological mothers but it is necessary and compulsory to practice the veil with them because their status.  Allah Ta’ala saysthat the wives of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) are the mothers (Surah Ahzaab).  The number of the Mothers of the believers is 11, 6 of them are from the Quraish and the rest from other clans, etc.

 

 

1.      Ummul Momineen Hadhrat Khadijah Bint Khauled (May Allah be well pleased with her).

 

2.      Ummul Momineen Hadhrat Aisha Siddiqua Bint Hadhrat Abu Bakr (May Allah be well pleased with them).

 

3.      Ummul Momineen Hadhrat Hafsa Bint Umar (May Allah be well pleased with them).

 

4.      Ummul Momineen Hadhrat Umme Habeeba Bint Abu Sufyan (May Allah be well pleased with them)

 

5.      Ummul Momineen Hadhrat Umme Salma Bint Abu Ummayya (May Allah be well pleased with her)

 

6.      Ummul Momineen Hadhrat Sauda Bint Zama’a (May Allah be well pleased with her).

 

They are from the Quraish.

 

1.      Ummul Momineen Hadhrat Zainab Bint Jahsh (May Allah be well pleased with her).

 

2.      Ummul Momineen Hadhrat Maimoona Bint Harith (May Allah be well pleased with her).

 

3.      Ummul Momineen Hadhrat Zainab Bint Khuzaima (May Allah be well pleased with her).

 

4.      Ummul Momineen Hadhrat Juwairiya Bint Harith (May Allah be well pleased with her).

 

5.      Ummul Momineen Hadhrat Safiya Bint Hayy (May Allah be well pleased with her).
