A comprehensive lecture on the title namely "Umrah and Ziyarat, Method and its Magnificence" was organized by the Abul Hasanaat Islamic Research centre at the Masjid-e-Abul Hasanaat, Phool Bagh, Jahanuma, Hyderabad, on 15th August 2009, Saturday; after Maghreb Salaat (prayer). In which, Hadhrat Maulana Mufti Syed Ziauddin Naqshbandi Qadri (Naib Shaikh ul Fiqh – Jami Nizamia, Founder and President – AHIRC) said that for performation of every form of worship, noble intention and sincerity is regarded as a undeniable condition. Haj and Umrah should also be offered for pleasure and contentment of Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala). One should acquaint himself/herself with its method, prior to its performing, so that it can be performed in a perfect manner. Sometimes, it is regarded as incorrect because of the mistakes committed and sometimes, the man gets deprived of its Holy radiance.

Holy Prophet (Sallalahu alaihi wa sallam) regarded Umrah as His Sunnah. A slave obtains the vicinity of his Lord through it. The Holy Prophet (Sallalahu alaihi wa sallam) said, "You perform Haj and Umrah continuously one after another, since Haj and Umrah eliminates the sins of a person as if fire cleanses iron from impurities.

It is narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah SWT be well please with him) in Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim that the Holy Prophet (Sallalahu alaihi wa sallam) said, "A duration between two Umrah is an expiation for sins and the reward of an accepted Haj is nothing but the Paradise."

Further continuing his lecture, Hadhrat Maulana Mufti Syed Ziauddin Naqshbandi Qadri Sahab said that except during the period of Haj, there is no fixed duration for performing an Umrah. Who so ever rights are upon us, those should be discharged immediately, before commencing the journey. Repent before Allah SWT and seek His forgiveness as much as you can. Regarding magnificence of performing an Umrah in the Holy month of Ramadhan he said, as offering a Nafl (optional) prayer is equivalent to offering of Farz (mandatory) prayer, similarly performing Umrah in the Holy month of Ramadhan is equivalent to performing a Haj. Moreover, it also similarly to one who performs a Haj with the Holy Prophet (Sallalahu alaihi wa sallam). It is narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Umme Maqal (May Allah SWT be well please with her) that the Holy prophet (Sallalahu alaihi wa sallam) said, "An Umrah of Ramadhan is equivalent to Haj."

After explaining the complete method of performing an Umrah, he illustrated the magnificence of Ziyarat of Honorable Mausoleum of Holy Prophet (Sallalahu alaihi wa sallam) and further said that, visiting it, is a source of Allah SWT's vicinity and felicity of both the worlds. It is narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Abdullah Ibne Umar (May Allah SWT be well please with him) that the Holy Prophet (Sallalahu alaihi wa sallam) said, "whosoever visits my honorable mausoleum, on him my intercession got Wajib (compulsory)."
