Promoting brotherhood by helping each other

Islam adorned people with social etiquette and manners and developed a sense of responsibility and mutual help in them.  Islam gave them the concept that there are some collective goals of the society which a single person cannot reach.  A human being cannot even fulfill basic needs without help from others.  Thus, every person should participate in it and should help others as much as possible.

Allah Ta'ala says about mutual help and cooperation in the Holy Quran:

And always support one another in (the works of) righteousness and piety but do not become accomplices in (works of) sin and transgression.  Surah Maida (5:2)

In this verse of the Holy Quran, Allah Ta'ala has given a golden principle for human progress and success that relationships whether they are personal, national, international or of whatever kind or form, the criteria for help and cooperation should be that we should help each other in works of piety and virtuousness and we should never ever help or cooperate with others in matters of indecency or any other kind of transgression or sin.

There is a Hadith in Jame' Tirmidhi:

Translation of Hadith:  It has been narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Anas (May Allah be well pleased with him) that a certain person came to the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)............ the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: Indeed! The person who invites others towards works of piety is like the one who performs them.  (Jame' Tirmidhi, Hadith No: 2883)

There is a Hadith in Sahih Bukhari:

Translation of Hadith:  It has been narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Abdullah bin Umar (May Allah be well pleased with them) that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said:............... Allah Ta'ala fulfils the need of that person who is busy in fulfilling the needs of his brother.  (Sahih Muslim, Hadith No: 2580)

If we obey Islamic teachings and promote mutual cooperation, then peace and brotherhood will reign in the whole society and the whole society will lead a peaceful life.
