To face the present-day challenges, it is necessary for the Ummah to master the sciences present in the Holy Quran and the Hadith. They should dispel the darkness of ignorance with the radiance of the Holy Quran and the Hadith and thus, gaining the blessings of both this world and the hereafter. Allah Ta'ala has given us a place in the Ummah of the Seal of all Prophets (Khatim Un Nabiyeen) whom the Lord has granted all kinds of knowledge and sent Him to guide this world. Allah Ta'ala says in the Holy Quran:
For Allah hath sent down to thee the Book and wisdom and taught thee what thou knewest not (before); and great is the Grace of Allah unto thee. Surah Nisa (4:113)
There is a Hadith in Jame’ Tirmidhi on the authority of Hadhrat Abdullah Bin Umar (May Allah be well pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) emerged with a book in each hand and said: Do you know what is in these books? The Sahabah said: We cannot know unless you tell us. The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said about the book in the right hand: This is a book from the Lord of all worlds. In this are the names of those who will dwell in Jannah and their fathers and their clans and in the end their total number is also written down. There will be neither any increase nor decrease in it. He (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said about the book in the left hand: This is a book from the Lord of all worlds about those who will dwell in Hell. In this are their names and their fathers’ names and the names of their clans. There will be neither any increase in it nor decrease.
(Jame’ Tirmidhi, Hadith No. 2291)
These are the words of Mufti Syed Ziauddin Naqshbandi Qadri, Naib Shaykh Ul Fiqh, Jamia Nizamia and Founder/Director Abul Hasanaat Islamic Research Center in the weekly lecture after Salaat Ul Maghrib on Sunday at Masjid Abul Hasanaat, Jahanuma on January 10, 2010.
Mufti Sahab said that today we are in an electronic age where within a moment a news can reach the whole world. But the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), with the grant of Allah Ta'ala, gave the news of all that will happen in the physical and spiritual worlds without any visible means. The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) told the Sahabah in Madina Munawwarah perfect order what was happening in “Shaam” (present day Syria) in the Battle of Muta. There is a Hadith in Sahih Bukhari on the authority of Hadhrat Anas Bin Malik (May Allah be well pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) informed the Sahabah of the martyrdom of Hadhrat Zaid, Hadhrat Ja’far and Hadhrat Abdullah Bin Rawaha before the news of the battle reached the city. The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: The standard of Islam has been taken by Zaid (May Allah be well pleased with him) and he has been martyred. Then Ja’afar (May Allah be well pleased with him) has taken the standard and has drunk from the cup of martyrdom, then Ibn Rawaha (May Allah be well pleased with him) has taken the flag of Islam and he too is martyred. At this time, tears were flowing from the blessed eyes of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam). Then He (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: ….a sword from among the swords of Allah Ta'ala, Khalid Bin Walid (May Allah be well pleased with him) has taken the standard of Islam and Allah Ta'ala has granted victory to the Muslims.
(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith No. 3757)
There is a Hadith in Musnad Imam Ahmed, Hadhrat Abuzar Ghifari (May Allah be well pleased with him) said: The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) left us in such a state that He informed us even about every kind of bird flying in the air.
(Musnad Imam Ahmed, Hadith No. 21970)
There is a Hadith in Sahih Bukhari that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) passed by 2 graves. The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said that these 2 are being punished and the punishment is not because of something that was difficult to protect oneself from. One among them would not save himself from droplets of urine and the other would backbite about others. Then He (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) sent for a green twig and tore it into 2 and put one on each grave. The Sahabah asked the reason for this. As long as these twigs don’t dry up, their punishment will be lessened. At this point, He (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) told what has happened, what is happening what will happen in the future.
