Is offering Salaat for Jannah Kufr

 

Jannah is a place of the approval of Allah Ta’ala and is the abode of the pious slaves of Allah Ta’ala.  Allah Ta’ala has placed many great ni’mah in it.  Entering Jannah is a great privilege and ni’mah.  

 

Allah Ta’ala has mentioned Jannah and its bounties numerous times in the Holy Quran and has exhorted us towards it:

And, (O Godfearing folk,) this is the Paradise of which you have been made the owners, a recompense of those (works) which you used to do.  Surah Al Zukhruf (43:72)

Surely those who believe and do good deeds persistently shall have the Gardens of Paradise as their hospitality.  Surah Al Kahf (18:107)

Thus, saying that offering Salaat for the sake of Jannah is Kufr (disbelief) is ignorance.  We should not talk like this and whoever said this should perform Tauba (i.e. repent).  

 

If any person worships for the sake of Jannah with the intention that I am not concerned with the approval of Allah Ta’ala, then that person is out of the Islam.
