The divine trust
Nevertheless, Almighty Allah answered the question raised by the angels, etc., by saying:
I know which you do not know’ (Surah Baqarah, 2: 30).
The wisdom behind creating human is not known to you, it is We who know and practically replied to their question with this:
‘Truly, we did offer Al-Amanah (the love of Allah) to the heavens and the mountains
To persuade the angels and other creations, the trust i.e. the love of Allah was offered to the heavens, earth, mountains (and to angels and other creation) and they were asked: Who is it who can bear this trust of Ours?
…but they declined to bear it and were afraid of it. But man bore it’ (33:72).
They did not have the capability to bear this trust. That’s why everyone became frightened of bearing it and refused to take it. No one had the ability to bear this weighty trust.
This was the privilege of the vicegerent of Allah. He bore this trust and why not? He was created for this purpose. He was the first one to lower his head and said: Give it to me! How can it be that You give and I refuse?
‘My beloved, to bear the load of anguish for You is surely my duty. How pleasant (delightful) will be the moment when your love fills my heart and makes it writhe!
My beloved, your foes should not have the honor of Your sword. May the heads of the friends be safe so that you can hack at them!
