Human beings are the esteemed guests of Almighty Allah

When Almighty Allah who was a hidden treasure, wanted to make Himself known, to spread the talk of love, He decided as per Yuhibbuhum wa Yuhibboonahu, to create His beloveds and lovers, to bring them as venerable guests.

 

O people with hearts full of love!  If you have not seen, you must have surely heard that when someone calls his beloved as a guest to his home, he starts preparing for it months before.  The best tents are used and canopies are set up.  Electric lights and gas lamps will be used liberally.  The house is adorned with every decorative accessory, guards are set for protection, the best possible flooring is used.  Every necessary item is placed opportunely.  The best conveyance is arranged.  The guest is not brought by desolate paths but directly through the habitation to show the grandeur of the guest.  After completion of all the preparations, the guest is awaited.

 

O lover and beloved human!  You are the venerable guest.  Since thousands of years preparations had been started to welcome you, the beautiful canopy of the sky has been set up.  With stars, which are like electric lights, the whole canopy of the sky is illuminated.  The gas lamps of the sun and moon have been set up.  To protect the skies from Satan, the guard-posts of meteors have been set up.  The earth has been spread as the floor and it has been carpeted with flowers and verdure.  This guesthouse has been made fragrant with the diverse fragrance of flowers.

 

Tasty foods and delicious fruits have been served on the meal-cloth of this guesthouse.  Every beneficial thing is created in abundance, all types of fast means of conveyance have been arranged, angels and genies are created to display the grandeur of humans.  The proof that human is the venerable guest is that just before the doomsday there will be no human beings who take the blessed name of Allah.  Thus, everything was for human beings.  When human beings themselves are not there, where is the need for all these preparations?  Of what use is this earth, the sky, and the entire universe?  This is why doomsday will be established and the entire universe will be destroyed.

 

Another proof for human beings being the venerable guest is that everything serves humans where as humans serve none.  Through this, we come to know that human beings are the substance (of this world) and everything in the universe is for him.  That’s why Almighty Allah says:

 

It is He Who hath created for you all things that are on earth…Surah Baqarah (2:29)

 

Which means that whatever is present on earth, all of it, some things to benefit you and some to test you.
