Some oft-asked supplications

 

Supplication is the weapon of the believer.  Here, we present some oft-asked supplications.

 

Dua for clearance of debt

 

After the Salaat, recite Durud and recite this Dua.  Allah-willing, difficulties related to debt will be solved:

 

Transliteration:  Allahumma Innee A'aoodhubika Minal Hammi Wal Huzni Wal 'Ajzi Wal Kasli Wal Bukhli Wal Jubni Wa Zal 'Id Daini wa Ghalabatir Rijali. 

 

Translation: O Allah! I seek your protection from sorrow, from helplessness, from laziness, from miserliness, from cowardice, from debt and from being dominated by people. 

 

Keep reciting this Dua with Durud after every Salaat.  Allah-willing, your difficulties will be dispelled. 

 

Dua for easy marriages

 

Recite this Dua with all sincerity, Allah-willing, very soon the matches will be made.

 

(1) Rabee Innee Anzalta Ilayya Min Khairin Faqeer.  Surah Qasas (28:24)

 

Translation: ‘O Lord, I am in need of whatever good You may send down to me.’

 

(2) Wa Min Kulli Shai in Khalaqna Zaujaini La 'Allakum Tadhakkaroon.  Surah Dhariyaat (51:49)

 

Translation: And of everything We have created two pairs so that you might concentrate and understand.

 

Dua for success and safety

 

For success, please keep reciting the following Quranic supplication and the blessed words of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) with Durood before and after.  Allah-willing, success will be yours:

 

Transliteration: Rabanaftah Bainanaa Wa Baina Qauminaa Bil Haqqi Wa Anta Khairul Fatiheen.1  Allahummastar ‘Auraatinaa Wamin Raua’aatinaa.2

Dua in the month of Rajab

 

When the month of Rajab started, the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) would recite the following Dua:

 

Transliteration of the Dua:  Allahumma Bariklana Fi Rajaba wash Sha’abaana wa Ballaghna Ramadhan. 

 

Translation: O Allah! Grant us Barakah in the months of Rajab and Sha’aban and make us reach Ramadhan.  (Kanz Ul Ummal, Hadith No. 18049)
