Working in finance company

I work in a finance company in Delhi and I have heard that money earned through these means is Haraam.  Please guide me.

Helping someone in interest-based business is as bad as doing that oneself.  Allah Ta'ala says:

Help not one another unto sin and transgression Surah Maida (5:2)

The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) has declared that Allah Ta'ala curses all those who give interest, take it and those who act as witness to it.  As given in Sahih Muslim, Babir Riba, Vol. 2, Pg No. 27.

Thus, working in an interest-based company is not permissible.  As India is not an Islamic country (Darul Harb), then in the opinion of erudite scholars, if the owner of the company is a Non-Muslim, working in it is permissible.  Some other scholars say that avoiding it is better.

As long as other employment, which is free of all doubts, is not there, you may work in the finance company.  If other employment is available, then it is better to leave this one so that your earning is free of all doubts and you receive the blessings and Barakah of it.

And Allah knows best.
