Imam Rabbani Conference

 

The 26^th grand public meeting under the aegis of Abul Hasanaat Islamic Research Centre was held at Masjid Abul Hasanaat, Jahanuma on December 6, 2015.  It was held under the guidance of Maulana Mufti Azeemuddin Naqshbandi, Mufti, Jamia Nizamia, and under the presidentship of Maulana Mufti Khaleel Ahmad, Shaykh ul Jamia, Jamia Nizamia.  Prominent scholars and intellectuals of Hyderabad and Telangana addressed the conference.  They spoke with deep insight on the life, times, spiritual accomplishments, reformative works, teachings of Imam Rabbani Mujaddid Alf Thaani (May Allah sanctify his secret).

 

Maulana Mufti Khaleel Ahmad said that a human being is comprised of both body and soul.  The body is ephemeral and perishes whereas the soul is eternal and abiding.  It is not wise to spend time on the betterment of the body alone.  Wisdom is to work for the betterment of that which is to remain and it is also more beneficial.  That is the reason all the Sufi orders stress betterment of the inward aspect (Baatin) and the soul.  Though methods among the different orders differ, their objective is the same.  Hadhrat Imam Rabbani (May Allah sanctify his secret) reformed false beliefs and philosophies.  Also included among the distinctions of his country-wide reformative work was that the Imam not only checked and stopped irreligiousness, indecency and lewdness but also constrained the sources from where these things arose.  The revered Mufti said that acquainting ourselves with the lives of the elders of our faith is a sign of love for our faith.  He stressed that we should study the life of Imam Rabbani (May Allah sanctify his secret) and should act upon his teachings.  Common Muslims, preachers and those who invite others to Islam should make his life a model for themselves and follow it.

 

Maulana Dr. Shaykh Ahmad Mohiuddin Sharafi, Founder, Dar ul Uloom an Nomaniya, said that Imam Rabbani (May Allah sanctify his secret) is a saint in whose persona the Shariah and Tariqa both are gathered.  His personality has such glory in it that not only the non-Arabs, even the Arabs, became his devotees.  Arab scholars recognize India by his name itself.  Due to his meticulous obedience to the Sunnah, he is loved by both the Creator and the creation.  The outward aspect of the Imam was so majestic that kings and rulers would become devoted to him and the inward aspect of the Imam is beyond our limited understandings.

 

Janab Syed Ahmed Pasha Qadri, honorable MLA, Charminar constituency & General Secretary, AIMIM, said that the blessings of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) reach the populace through the medium of the various Sufi orders.  All the orders draw blessings from the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) himself.  Hadhrat Imam Rabbani is a saint in whose personality all Sufi orders are combined.  He has left a deep mark by virtue of his service for religion and his reformative efforts.  It is a sign of divine acceptance of his efforts that even after the passage of centuries, his mention is made and his memory is cherished.  The whole world looks upon him with respect and reverence.  He congratulated Maulana Mufti Syed Ziauddin Naqshbandi on holding this conference and stressed to the audience that they should derive as much benefit as possible from him.

 

Maulana Mufti Syed Ziauddin Naqshbandi Mujaddidi Qadri, Shaykh ul Fiqh, Jamia Nizamia, & Founder-Director, Abul Hasanaat Islamic Research Center, welcomed the guests and the audience.  He said that Imam Rabbani (May Allah sanctify his secret) is an ocean of both normative and mystical knowledge and a great saint with great abundant moral courage.  The reformation and revival of faith that was wrought at his hands will be remembered until the Day of Judgment.  He performed Da'awah as per the guidelines laid down by the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).  He raised his voice against the system of falsehood with wisdom and good advice and eventually defeated the system.  There is no aspect of life which is bereft of the reformative efforts of the Imam.  There is no aspect of Islam which did not benefit from his services.  He gave back to Shariah its majesty and glory and reformed the vain philosophies that were masquerading in the name of Tasawwuf.  He made it clear to one and all that Tasawwuf is not a philosophy but a system of training and instruction.  He stressed obedience to the Holy Quran and the Sunnah and that they should be the guide in all walks of life.  He was so immersed in following the Sunnah of the Prophet that even rare Sunnah would not be missed by him to the point that in following the earthly life of the Prophet, he also passed away at the age of 63.  The revered Mufti said that if one desires steadfastness in the beliefs of Islam and purity in the affairs of life, then the life of Imam Rabbani (May Allah sanctify his secret) is enough for us.

 

Maulana Syed Shah Hussain Shaheedullah Basheer Naqshbandi, Director, Abul Fida Islamic Research Center, said that Imam Rabbani (May Allah sanctify his secret) served Islam at all levels and his devotees are also from all walks of life. 

 

Maulana Hafiz Muhammad Haneef Qadri, Kamil, Jamia Nizamia, and Editor, monthly Quranic Voice, spoke on the teachings of Imam Rabbani (May Allah sanctify his secret) and the importance of taking a spiritual mentor.

 

The conference ended with the moving supplication of Maulana Mufti Azeemuddin Naqshbandi Sahab, Mufti, Jamia Nizamia.  Maulana Syed Shah Ghouse Mohiuddin Suhail Naqshbandi, Janasheen, Peer Bukhari Shah, Maulana Qazi Abdul Haq Rafiuddin Farooqui, grandson of Hadhrat Shaykh Ul Islam, Maulana Syed Muhammad Ibrahim Qadri Farooq Pasha Zarreen Kulah, Sajjada Nasheen, Hadhrat Gosha Nasheen Zarreen Kulah, Syed Ahmad Ali Naqshbandi, Secretary, Jamia Nizamia, Janab Syed Muneeruddin Ahmad Mukhtar, Shura member Majlis Muttahida Amal, Maulana Ghulam Muhammad Ghouse Pasha, Sajjada Nasheen, Khanqah Rukniya Naqshbandiya, Maulana Hafiz Muhammad Iftekharuddin Qadri, Teacher, Jamia Nizamia, Maulana Syed Haziq Mohiuddin, Teacher, Jamia Nizamia and other guests and a large number of people graced the occasion,  Maulana Hafiz Syed Ahmad Ghouri Naqshbandi, Teacher, Jamia Nizamia, gave the vote of thanks.  Maulana Hafiz Syed Misbahuddin Umair Naqshbandi led the proceedings.  Maulana Hafiz Syed Wahid Ali Qadri, Maulana Abdul Qadeer Qadri, Maulana Hafiz Ahmad Mohiuddin Naqshbandi and Maulana Hafiz Syed Muzzammil Naqshbandi oversaw the arrangements.
