Profuse recitation of Durood and obedience to Him is what is demanded by love of the Prophet

Allah Most High has honored us by placing us in the Ummah of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).  He has given us the eternal treasure of Iman and Islam and has filled our hearts with love for Allah, His Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) and the saints of the Ummah, especially that of the king of saints Hadhrat Shaykh ‘Abdul Qadir Jeelani Ghouse Azam (May Allah be well pleased with him).

 

Allah Most High made him a saint right from his birth.  Allah Most High selects whom He will for His love and sainthood.  Hadhrat Ghouse Azam (May Allah be well pleased with him) has been given the highest spiritual stations.  He is not only the Imam of mysticism and spirituality, but also a master of the normative sciences and a brilliant teacher.

 

These are the words of the distinguished personality of Baghdad Hadhrat Syed Muhamamd Najeeb Abdul Baqi, Shaykh Ul Halaqatul Qadriya Fil Hazratil Keelaniyya in Masjid Abul Hasanaat.

 

The Shaykh further said that human beings can be successful only by following the Shariah and piety is developed in them.  For this reason, Hadhrat Ghouse Azam (May Allah be well pleased with him) would instruct his disciples:  Make obedience to the Holy Quran and the Sunnah compulsory on yourselves.  The Holy Quran is a fountainhead of knowledge, gnosis and guidance.  Muslims should not simply stop at recitation and memorization of the Holy Quran, but should reflect and contemplate over the meanings of the verses of the Holy Quran, and should act upon its teachings.

 

The Shaykh said we should strengthen their relationship with the religion and should not swerve from the path of the Shariah in any case.  We should lead our lives as per the words of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) and should study His life.  We should obey the laws which we Allah Most High has granted us through His Beloved Prophet.

 

The Obligations should be followed to the letter.  Those things which Allah Most High has ordered us to do, we should perform them and those things which we have been ordered not to do, we should surely stay away from them.  We should develop steadfastness in ourselves.

The Shaykh said we Muslims should develop sincerity in ourselves.  We should offer Salaat with utmost concentration.  We should turn away from the world and present ourselves before Allah Most High.

 

The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) is the most Beloved personality of the universe.  His love demands that we should send Durood on Him profusely and that we should follow Him.  We should not ignore any Sunnah.  Otherwise, what answer will we have on the Day of Judgment if the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) asks us:  Why did you abandon My Sunnah?  What will be our state then? 

 

The Shaykh said that to increase the love and gnosis of Allah Most High and His Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) and to increase the faith and the illumination of the heart, Hadhrat Ghouse Azam (May Allah be well pleased with him) has given certain recitations and litanies.  Regularity in them is also a means of spiritual progress.

 

In the opinion of Allah Most High, the most respectable person is the one whose heart is full of the fear and consciousness of Allah Most High.  For this reason, the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said:  No Arab is superior to a non-Arab…except through piety…

 

The scholars are the deputies of the Prophets.  Muslims should attach themselves to the scholars so that they understand the rules of Islam and their faith is strengthened.

 

After the lecture, the Shaykh visited Abul Hasanaat Islamic Research Center.  He saw the work done there and expressed his admiration and pleasure in the words:  Maulana Mufti Syed Ziauddin Naqshbandi, Shaykh Ul Fiqh, Jamia Nizamia, is serving the Shariah in a very good manner.  He is guiding the Ummah through research work and Islamic books.  I feel extreme pleasure in visiting this institution and seeing the treasure of books.

 

In this tour, the sons of the Shaykh Maulana Syed Abdul Baqi Qadri, Maulana Syed Ibrahim Qadri and other dignitaries were also present.  Maulana Mufti Syed Ziauddin Naqshbandi welcomed the guests and garlanded them and presented shawls to them.  Maulana Hafidh Khalid Ali Qadri, Teacher, Jamia Nizamia, led the proceedings.  On this occasion, honorable Al Haj Muhammad Zaheeruddin Naqshbandi, Mutawalli, Masjid Abul Hasanaat, Maulana Hafidh Syed Wahid Ali Qadri, Teacher, Jamia Nizamia, Maulana Hafidh Syed Ahmed Ghouri Naqshbandi, Teacher, Jamia Nizamia and Maulana Hafidh Ahmed Mohiuddin Naqshbandi, Teacher, Dar Ul Uloom An Nomaniya and other disciples and devotees were also present.
