Muslims face humiliation due to lack of unity
Weekly lecture of Mufti Syed Ziauddin Naqshbandi at Masjid Abul Hasanaat
Allah Most High has promised victory and honor provided one’s faith and belief is perfect. It is the responsibility of a believer to fulfill the demands of faith. Allah Most High says in Surah Aale Imran:
And do not lose heart or feel grieved; and it is you who will be victorious, provided you maintain (perfect) faith. Surah Aale Imran (3:139)
Today, Muslims not only rule many countries but have the strength of numbers and other resources as well. However because of lack of unity and ignoring the systems given by Islam they cannot become a single power. They keep falling back into the abyss of dishonor and debasement although victory and triumph is the lot of the believers. Allah Most High has promised them victory and His help – provided they worship Allah Most High, accept the way of life given by Him and lead lives according to it. Allah Most High says in the Holy Quran:
To those of you who believe and keep doing pious deeds Allah has given the promise (whose fulfilment and implementation is obligatory for the Umma [Community]): He will surely bestow upon them khilafa (the trust of right to rule) as He granted (the right to) rule to those who were before them. And (through dominance and rule) He will strengthen and stabilize their Din (Religion) for them which He has liked for them, and (by this strength and rule) He will for sure change their former state of fear (which was due to their political, economic and social handicap) to that of peace and security. They will worship Me (fearlessly and) will not associate any partner with Me (i.e., will follow and obey only My command and system). And after this, whoever adopts ingratitude (i.e., aversion to, and denial of, My commands) it is they who will be defiant (and disobedient). Surah Noor (24:55)
These are the words of Mufti Syed Ziauddin Naqshbandi, Professor, Islamic Law, Jamia Nizamia, Founder-Director, Abul Hasanaat Islamic Research Center, in the weekly lecture conducted under the aegis of AHIRC in Masjid Abul Hasanaat.
The revered Mufti said that today Muslims are the target of oppression. Children and old people are being hurt. The patients in the hospitals are being troubled. The forces against Islam are strategically conspiring against Islam. Muslim rulers are supporting the oppressor for the sake of their own rule and interests. No effort has been spared in shredding the fabric of unity among Muslims.
There is a Hadith in Sunan Abu Dawood:
Translation: Very soon, all the powers of the world will beckon each other to fall upon you the way a hungry group is invited towards food. The Companions (May Allah be well pleased with them) asked: O Prophet of Allah (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)! Will we be less in numbers? The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: No! You will be in large numbers, but will become (powerless) like the foam of the ocean. Allah Most High will remove your awe from the hearts of your enemies and will cast “Wahn” in your hearts. Somebody asked: What is “Wahn”? He said: Love of this (material) world and dislike of death.
The revered Mufti said that electronic and print media are taking sides instead of reporting the truth. The real oppressor is being concealed and Muslims are being presented as terrorists in spite of the fact that Islam has granted peace to the whole world and has given protection to the life and wealth of non-Muslims as well.
If any Muslim disturbs the peace, then he/she is acting against the demands of Islam. Islam does not permit it.
The enemies of Islam have used women as a weapon to destroy Muslim society. Beautiful women have been used to target the aspirations of Muslims. The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: I have not left behind anything in My Ummah more dangerous than women.
If Muslims desire honor and triumph, then they have to act on the teachings of Islam. They will have to implement the teachings of Islam in their lives. Muslim rulers should develop foresightedness and should realize their responsibilities. They should make the eras of the Four Rightly-guided Caliphs as their guide. Hadhrat ‘Umar Farooq (May Allah be well pleased with him) said: If a dog dies of hunger on the bank of some river, Allah Most High will ask ‘Umar about it.
Hadhrat Maulana Hafidh Muhammad Ayyub Ashrafi, Founder, Jamia Ashrafiya, Pune, and President, AHIRC, Pune branch, and Maulana Hafidh Muhammad Arif Ashrafi, Fazil, Jamia Nizamia, Member, AHIRC, Pune branch were present as chief guests.
The revered Mufti gifted a shawl to the guests. The session ended with Salaam and supplication. Maulana Hafidh Muhammad Khalid Ali Qadri, Teacher, Jamia Nizamia, led the proceedings.
