Friends! Who should become a Prophet and who shouldn’t, forget all these needless arguments. What is to be considered is the reason and objective for sending Prophets and whether that objective has been achieved with the coming of that Prophet or not?
Everything has 2 aspects to it. One the apparent, external aspect, which is found in it. The second is the capability which is granted at the time of birth and is preserved as a trust. After the company of some accomplished personage, that trust is (fully) expressed.
Like a lamp. Before it is lighted, it had a different appearance. Then after being lighted, it has a different appearance. The first appearance was the external aspect given at the time of birth. After being lighted, the aspect of the capability was revealed. However, for this, fire approached it and the dark lamp became illuminated through its blessings.
A piece of stone which is used in lavatories and homes, after it receives the company of the sun, it is turned into diamonds and rubies and is fixed in the crowns of the kings. It is titled as Kohinoor. Thus, without company, the innate capability is not revealed.
Likewise there are people whose capabilities are not expressed without company (of some accomplished personage). For them, Almighty Allah sends the Prophets so that through their company, those capabilities are expressed. This is the objective behind sending Prophets.
Now what we have to see is whether this objective has been achieved with this Prophet or not. What we see establishes that those whose capabilities were not being expressed, when they received the company of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), even those who were the lowest achieved the highest pinnacles.
Today, there is no one on the face of this earth who were more worshipful than them, no one more given to hosting guests than them, no one more generous than them. Neither was there anyone braver than them. They had crossed the human limits of ethics and morality and had entered the realms of the angels in these regards.
The objective of sending Prophets has been achieved through this Prophet …..In fact, the way it has been accomplished with this Prophet, the same had not been achieved through any other Prophet. To understand this, reflect carefully over this metaphor.
One person sows wheat and harvests it. Some other person grinds it, some other person kneads it. After that yet another person places the pan on the stove and makes chapatti. Thus, it is completed at the hands of that person.
Similarly, the seeds of religion were sown with the company of Prophet Adam (May peace be upon him). After this, every Prophet fulfilled one responsibility.
Prophet ‘Isa (May peace be upon him) kneaded it.
At last, the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) lit the fire of love and completed the religion.
After Prophet ‘Isa (May peace be upon him), the coming of Prophets had stopped. With this, people had become famished. These famished people bought this chapatti with their very lives and wealth.
Thousands of nations gave up their lives for this chapatti.
How lucky you are that you are getting this all readied and prepared!
When the objective of sending Prophets has been accomplished the most with this Prophet, then why do you still wonder?
Is it amazing for the people that We sent down Revelation to a (perfect) man from amongst themselves: ‘Warn (the disoriented and distracted) people (of Allah’s torment), and give glad tidings to the believers that there is high rank (i.e., exalted status) for them in the presence of their Lord’? The disbelievers said: ‘Indeed, this person is an evident magician.’ Surah Younus (2:10)
A gnostic (A’arif) entreated before the Lord Almighty: Let me see the blessed soul of Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam). Otherwise, I will not be able to live longing for Him.
Almighty Allah ordered: Do you know ‘Isa (May peace be upon him)? That ‘Isa (May peace be upon him) is the one who gave the glad tidings of the coming of Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam). If the foreteller is such, then how will Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) be? When ‘Isa (May peace be upon him) were revealed to the creation, such works were accomplished through him, which others couldn’t do:
Seeing this, the Christians called him the son of Allah. If the beauty of the blessed soul of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) is shown to the creation, all the dead will sit up, the trees and the mountains will start talking. Neither will the sky stay in place nor will the earth remain steady. The whole universe will be smitten. The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) has come to
