Qiyaamat
Details about the Day of Judgment
It is easily understood that humans eat some things which result is eruption of boils and blisters. However, the effect is not seen on the same day on which those things are eaten. It builds and builds and one day is seen in that form.
Similarly, the deeds that we commit, their punishment and reward is also necessary. Undoubtedly, at some appointed time, everything will happen. That day is called Qiyaamat i.e. the Day of Judgment.
If someone is facing a lawsuit, how anxious will that person be? All the time, that person will be thinking of the lawsuit. He might be sitting, resting, eating, drinking, at no time will he forget the suit. The prosecution and judgment of our trials is also very near. The Lord Almighty will manifest Himself with all grandeur. Hell will be in front of us and spiritual disgrace and physical agony. The sun will be on our heads. We will be drowning in our own sweat, hungry and thirsty.
All our deeds will be expressed. For e.g. the thief committing the theft, the fornicator fornicating, etc. the way we see in cinema, it will occur there as well. For this reason, we should always be mindful of this.
When the Lord Almighty has the power to resurrect the dead earth and dead trees every year and make them green and lush and lade them with flowers and fruits, then does He not have the power to resurrect human beings in the same manner? Considering that He has brought them into existence from the state of nonexistence. The way lands and trees are resurrected before our eyes day and night, in the same way human beings also will be resurrected.
The moment the trumpet (Soor) is blown for the first time, it will start raining, which will continue for 40 days. The way a fetus is formed in the womb by semen, in the same way, through this rain, human bodies will be formed in the graves and life will return. Immediately after becoming alive, there will be an overwhelming sleepiness. Everyone will be sleeping in their graves. When the trumpet will be blown for the second time, everyone will awaken and rise from their graves. The deceased will feel that he (or she) was sleeping and somebody woke him up……..
The coming of the Day of Judgment is certain, but the time of its coming is known only to Almighty Allah. When it comes, it will be sudden. If one has placed a morsel in the mouth, one will not be able to swallow it. If clothes are in the hand, one will not be able to wear them. Thus, all creation will be in their works that a dark cloud will rise from the west. Within moments, it will cover the whole sky. From this cloud, a caller will call out: O people! The will of the Lord is manifested! With this, the trumpet will be blown. Then the sound of that trumpet will become so hard and harsh that even mountains will crumble into dust. The earth will split. The sky will be torn apart. Mountains will fly like bales of cotton. The sun, moon, stars, etc. will become lightless and fall off. The rivers and oceans will boil over and dry up. Humans, genies, angels will all perish. It will be a time of incredible anguish. The death of Jibreel, Mikaail, Israfeel (May peace be upon them) and then the death of ‘Izraael (May peace be upon him) and his crying out in the throes of death: If I knew what this is, I would have been affectionate while drawing out the souls of other people.
Thus, except Almighty Allah, none will remain. This is Qiyaamat, the Day of Judgment. An era will pass like this. Then the trumpet will be blown and the dead will be resurrected and the reckoning will start.
The bazaar of the Day of Judgment will have everything. To buy them, currency will be needed and that currency is good deeds. If this is not with us, there will be a great regret and disappointment. But we have no anxiety in gathering it. Whatever we have, we are wasting in this inn, the material world. Understand this clearly! This world is not our house, it is only a travelers’ inn. Don’t endear yourself to it too much. The stay here is as long as a stay of one night.
Is there a Muslim who doesn’t believe in the Day of Judgment? But alas, no preparations are being made for it. The Day of Judgment is that trial, which had aged the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) before time. Once, Hadhrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (May Allah be well pleased with him) entreated the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam): O Prophet of Allah (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)! Some hair of Yours have turned white! The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: That Surah (of the Holy Quran), which mentions the Day of Judgment has aed me.
The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) has such anxiety for Day of Judgment that it aged Him prematurely and we sinners are without a care! Be just! Before winter sets in, the rich and the poor, both prepare for it, as much as their means allow. But for the Day of Judgment, even that much preparation is nonexistent.
Then what is the use of believing in the Day of Judgment? Mere belief of the tongue will not be of any use. True preparation of the Day of Judgment is to develop love for Almighty Allah and the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) by obeying them and to depart from this world with good deeds.

Being reminded of the Day of Judgment is fine to an extent and the reason for it is also fine. However, as far as getting to meet me with difficulty is concerned, it is worth remembering that in this world, even the elite don’t have spiritual insight (Kashf) all the time. On the contrary, on the Day of Judgment, let alone the elite, even the common populace will have such spiritual insight that all the conditions of the Day of Judgment and the condition of each person will be clear to all. For this reason, meeting there will not be a trouble at all.
This apart, it is an undeniable fact that due to mutual attraction, iron itself embraces the magnet. In the same way, my sincere ones, who have followed my guidelines and developed the true relationship of love, they will also be like particles of iron and on the Day of Judgment, they will be automatically drawn to me and I will recognize them as well. For this reason, every disciple of mine should follow my guidelines and make themselves worthy of it. Discipleship for the sake of formality is of no use.
