Now the time has come that that radiance which was being transferred from thousands of years is to grace the womb of Hadhrat Amina (May Allah be well pleased with her).
What can I say about the night when the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) entered the womb of His mother! The damsels of paradise were glorifying Allah in their happiness. Stars were dancing in the sky out of joy. The angels were greeting and congratulating each other that for the lovers of Allah, this night is superior to even Shab Qadr.
The mark of love on the hearts of the lovers of Allah grew so bright that even lamps were envious of it.
The way fireflies crow around a flame, Jibreel (May peace be upon him) was similarly fawning over the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) in the joy of His coming into the world.
What can I say how the whole world was! Every nook and corner was blooming like the gardens of paradise.
It is the month of Rajjab, the night preceding Friday, which is superior to Shab Qadr, the warden of paradise was ordered: Ridhwan, open all the doors of paradise. Adorn the spiritual world with radiance. Fill the world with different kinds of fragrance.
Call out in the heavens and the earth and the radiance whose glad tidings the Prophets have been giving, has come into the womb of His mother this night and will be born soon and give glad tidings of paradise to one and all.
433 years after Hadhrat ‘Eisa (May peace be upon him), the blessed news of the coming of the Prophet and the opening of the doors of paradise has come.
Lucky is the Ummah of this Prophet. Whoever will believe in Him, He will take them into paradise along with Him.
Friends! How great is that Prophet who the moment He entered the womb of His mother opened the doors of paradise for His Ummah. For now, nothing has happened. What will He not do after He is born? Then as a Prophet he will work hard at guiding the Ummah and make paradise easily accessible for them. Then, at the time of His demise, He will pray for the forgiveness of the Ummah and make all arrangements for their entry into paradise.
Each animal of the Quraish spoke up: People! Today the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) has entered the womb. By the Lord of the Ka’aba! He is the means of the peace for the whole universe.
All terrestrial and aquatic animals were bursting with happiness. The reason for the happiness of the animals was that the Day of Judgment will be established when there is none to remember Allah in the whole world, meaning that the world runs with the remembrance of Almighty Allah. After Hadhrat ‘Eisa (May peace be upon him), the remembrance of Almighty Allah had lessened and was on the verge of being obliterated altogether. The animals were anxious that now the world will be destroyed. In these times of despair, the mercy of Almighty Allah was revealed. The Seal of all Prophets had entered the womb of His mother. Now the remembrance of Allah will be made in such a manner that nothing of that sort had been done earlier. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. All the animals were greeting each other that the world will still stand.
The idols fell flat on their faces. The thrones of kings were overturned. Each and every place was illuminated with radiance. The trees had become bare. The animals had become thin. The moment the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) came into the womb of Hadhrat Amina (May Allah be well pleased with her), the famine was dispelled. This year was named “Sanatul Ibtihaaj” or “The Year of Happiness.”
From the time when the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) had entered the womb, each month, there would a voice from the heavens: People! Be glad. A very felicitous Prophet is going to come in this world.
In her pregnancy, when Hadhrat Amina (May Allah be well pleased with her) would walk, any stone that came under her feet would soften like wax.
Do you know what it was? It was to show that O Amina! Did you understand? The way these stones are softened in your feet, in the same way, the Prophet who is in your womb will soften stony hearts.
Hadhrat Amina (May Allah be well pleased with her) never had any difficulty in her pregnancy the way other women had. Hadhrat Amina (May Allah be well pleased with her) says: I never felt that I was pregnant. However, the periods had stopped.
Hadhrat Amina (May Allah be well pleased with her) never desired to eat anything tangy or anything sweet which other women mostly do. Do you know the reason?
Friends! The Prophet who is the womb of Hadhrat Amina (May Allah be well pleased with her) is the Ascetic Prophet who will never taste the world in His whole life. He will never turn towards anything sweet or sour; in His house, no food would be cooked for 2 months at a stretch, He will tie stones on His stomach and lead the Salaat. When such an ascetic Prophet is in her womb, how can Hadhrat Amina (May Allah be well pleased with her) feel any inclination to eat sweet or sour things.
Each house was illuminated with radiance. The animals of the east were congratulating the animals of the west and the animals of the west were congratulating the animals of the east that the Final Prophet has come into the womb of His mother. By the Lord of the Ka’aba! This Prophet will arrive with such grandeur that He will be the Imam of all Prophets. He will be (divine) lamp to enlighten the hearts of all people of the world.
Hadhrat Amina (May Allah be well pleased with her) says that she was part asleep and partly awake, she heard someone say: Amina! Do you know that you are pregnant with the One who is better than the whole world?
Hadhrat Amina (May Allah be well pleased with her) says:
When the angels came and informed me, I understood that I was pregnant. Every month, a call would be given from the heavens and the earth: O Amina! Glad tidings be to you. Now, Abul Qasim Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) is going to be born of your womb.
Hadhrat Amina (May Allah be well pleased with her) says that every month a Prophet would visit her.
She would often see in her pregnancy:
A radiance issuing from me and the whole world being illuminated by it. In that illumination, I would see the city of Basra in Syria.
When the father of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) passed away before His birth, all the angels entreated the Lord Almighty: O our Lord Allah! Your Beloved, Your Prophet has become an orphan before being born. Now how will He fare? Almighty Allah said: I, who have the affection of more than a 100 fathers, will be the protector and guardian and will help Him all the time.
At the time of the birth of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), the season was spring (Rab’ee). The reason of the birth of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) in this season is that He is the sign of the Day of Judgment.
With the birth of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), it was understood that the Day of Judgment will come. That’s why it is mentioned in the Hadith that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) joined His index finger and middle finger and said: The Day of Judgment is after me like this. After me, no Prophet will come.
The way travelers traveling in the night often look up to see when the moon will rise and illuminate their path, in the same way, the whole world was staring with their eyes bulged that when that time will come when the radiance of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) will shine from the mountains of Makkah.
When the moon is about to rise, the edges of the horizon are illuminated. The moon for Rab’ee Ul Awwal has been sighted. The whole world is shining. It is spring. It is the Year of the Elephants i.e. the year in which Abraha and his army were destroyed. It is the month of Rab’ee Ul Awwal. Now the time of the birth of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) is at hand.
O month of Rab’ee Ul Awwal. Millions of people have come and gone. You have remained the same. Tell the truth, how was that 12th night of yours? The damsels of paradise had arrived. The rest had opened the windows of paradise and were celebrating. The ‘Arsh was swaying in sheer happiness. The whole world was dancing in joy. The angels of the seven heavens were celebrating. Leave all the rest, even Almighty Allah was casting a special radiance on His slaves.
