Following the Shariah is the greatest miracle

Allah SWT has ordered us to worship Him. Hadhrat Ghawth Ul A’adham Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani (May Allah SWT be well pleased with him) was always busy in the worship of Allah SWT. He was so immersed in following the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) and the rules of the Shariah that he would never perform any task against the rules of the Shariah. He (May Allah SWT be well pleased with them) used to avoid even the doubtful things. Once a certain person came to him and lived with him for a period of time. One day, he asked for permission to go and said: I had heard a lot about your miracles and had desire to see them, however I did not see anything here. Hadhrat Ghawth Ul A’adham (May Allah SWT be well pleased with him) asked him as to whether he saw the Shaykh committing any act against the rules of the Shariah or leaving any Sunnah or even leaving any commendable (Mustahab) act. That person answered no to all these questions. Hadhrat Ghawth Ul A’adham (May Allah SWT be well pleased with him) said that following the Shariah is the greatest miracle.

In the weekly lecture at Masjid Abul Hasanaat, Mufti Syed Ziauddin Naqshbandi Qadri said that Hadhrat Ghawth Ul A’adham (May Allah SWT be well pleased with him) diagnosed the disease of the Ummah and treated it as well. After listening to the sayings of the Shaykh or reading his books, everybody will change their lives. To be acquainted with his teachings and to spread them is the greatest need of the hour.

In the lectures of Hadhrat Ghawth Ul A’adham (May Allah SWT be well pleased with him) there would be 70000 people. The last person would hear in the same way as the first one.

All the speeches of Hadhrat Ghawth Ul A’adham (May Allah SWT be well pleased with him) are recorded along with their place and date. Hadhrat Ghawth Ul A’adham (May Allah SWT be well pleased with him) said that a human being should be happy with what Allah SWT has ordained for him/her. If any person objects to what Allah SWT has ordained for him/her it is a sign of the weakness of the Iman of that person and it is the death of Ikhlaas (sincerity) and tawakkul (reliance on Allah SWT). A Momin does not question the orders of Allah SWT and does not ask why, but bows down to them without any hesitation and starts fulfilling them.

Hadhrat Ghawth Ul A’adham (May Allah SWT be well pleased with him) also said: To have patience in a hardship and in a test is only bravery. At the time of hardships, people complain and in affluence and ease, they do not thank Allah SWT. We should have patience in hardships.

The greatest enemy of human is his/her nafs. We should always be worried about setting our nafs right. Nafs always takes one to a evil more evil than the last. However, when the same nafs is controlled, it becomes nafs mutmainna, which takes one to all kinds of virtuous acts. The way a bag is preserved because of the wealth within it, the way a cage is preserved because of the bird, in the same way, the value of the body is because of the heart. If the heart is set right, the whole body is set right.

After the lecture in the question and answer session, many of the attendees asked questions, which were answered in the light of the Holy Quran and Hadith.
