Importance and authenticity of Hadith Shareef!

Importance and authenticity of Hadith Shareef!

Hadith Shareef is the foundational bearer in the Islamic Jurisprudence. The Holy Quran and the Hadith Shareef are the foundation and base of the Islamic Law. It is the perfect and authentic constitution descended upon mankind by Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala). Who's details and illustrations etc; are sought from the Hadith Shareef. Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) said:

Translation: and We have revealed unto thee i.e. the holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi Wa sallam) the Remembrance that thou mayst explain to mankind that which hath been revealed for them, and that haply they may reflect. (Surah Nahl: 44)

Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) by granting the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi Wa sallam) the complete authority of resolution and dignity illustrated the significance and authenticity of the orders given by Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi Wa sallam) and said:

Translation: He i.e. the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi Wa sallam) will make lawful for them all good things and prohibit for them only the foul; (Surah Al-Araf: 157)

These facts were revealed by Hadhrat Maulana Mufti Syed Ziauddin Naqshbandi Sahab (Naib Shaikh Ul Fiqh –Jami Nizamia, Founder and President – AHIRC) at the weekly lecture organized by the Abul Hasanaat Islamic Research Centre at the Masjid E Abul Hasanaat, Phool Bagh, Jahanuma, and Hyderabad.

Continuing his lecture he said that in the Holy Quran one can find the command to offer Salaat and to give Zakaat, Roza being made as mandatory, the order to perform Haj is mentioned in it but clearly the timings and Raka'at of Salaat, the quantity of Zakaat, Do's and don'ts of Roza, moreover the procedure of how to perform Haj and Umrah are not stated in it, instead the whole details of them were illustrated by Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) through the means of His beloved Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi Wa sallam). Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) made the expressions of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi Wa sallam) as the Sunnah and His (Sallallahu alaihi Wa sallam) commands and sayings as the Islamic Shariah (Law).

Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) said:
Translation: Verily in the messenger of Allah ye have a good example (Surah Al-Ahzab: 21)

And in Surah Hashr Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) said:
Translation: And whatsoever the messenger giveth you, take it. And whatsoever he forbiddeth, abstain (from it). And keep your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is stern in reprisal. (Surah Al-Hashr: 7)

Sustaining his speech Hadhrat Maulana Mufti Syed Ziauddin Naqshbandi Sahab Qiblah said, none has the right to transgress the order given by the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi Wa sallam), since Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) said:

Translation: And it becometh not a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His messenger have decided an affair (for them), that they should (after that) claim any say in their affair; (Surah Al-Ahzab: 36)

During His lecture Mufti Sahab said that, as declining even a single verse of the Holy Quran is infidelity similarly disrespecting the Hadith Shareef or declining the continuous chain of Hadith is also an infidelity, since the Holy Quran is the apparent revelation where as the Hadith Shareef is the hidden revelation. Hence in sense of faith and its dignity, both of them are equal and parallel to each other. The only difference between the two is that the Holy Quran is recited during the Salaat but not the Hadith Shareef. As stated by Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala):

Translation: Nor doth he speak of (his own) desire. (3) It is naught save an inspiration that is inspired, (Surah Al-Najm: 3/4)

It is given in the Hadith of Jami Tirmidhi Shareef that in the gracious presence of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi Wa sallam) the companions of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi Wa sallam) said: "O the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi Wa sallam)! You talk with us so friendly," then the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi Wa sallam) said: "I don't speak except truth." (Jami Tirmidhi Shareef, Hadith No: 2121)
