Hadhrat Maulana Khwaja Umkanagi (May Allah shower His mercy on him)

He was born on 14th of Ramadhan 907 Hijri in Damascus and he passed away on 22 Sha’abaan 1010 Hijri.

 

Although he gave his pledge (Ba‘yah) to Hadhrat Khwaja Muhammad Sharfuddin Zahid (May Allah shower His mercy on him) and also stayed in his company, but his culmination (Takmeel) and receipt of authorization (Ijazah/Khilafat) at the hands of his father Hadhrat Khwaja Muhammad Durvesh (May Allah shower His mercy on him).

 

They way he was a perfect Sufi, in the same way, he was also a great scholar of the normative sciences.

 

They way he was an A’abid (worshipper) and a Zahid (ascetic) and was always engaged in remembrance of Allah Ta'ala, in the same way, he also had miraculous powers.

 

He would always keep himself hidden from the eyes of the creation.  He would never accept someone as a disciple without Istikhara.

 

He passed away on 22nd Sha’abaan 1010 Hijri and his blessed grave in Umkana is a great center of gathering of people.
