Lecture at Masjid Abul Hasanaat

The religion of Islam is to remain until the Qiyamah, so in every era, Allah Ta’ala sends some divine personalities who are the protectors of the Shariah and supporters and promoters of the laws of Islam.  The most distinguished among all the personalities is the leader of the saints, Ghouse-ul-Azam Hadhrat Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani (May Allah Ta’ala be well pleased with him).

He would always be heedful of Allah Ta’ala.  He would be so overwhelmed with following the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) that he would do nothing against the Shariah.  Be it his personal life or public life, his residence or while journeying, he would never miss even a Sunnah or a Mustahab (commendable) act.  He would always stay from doubtful affairs and things.  A certain person came to stay with him.  After some days, he asked for permission to leave and said:  I had come to see a miracle from your hands.  I didn’t get to see any in these days.  Hadhrat Ghouse-Ul-Azam (May Allah Ta’ala be well pleased with him) asked him:  In this period, did you see me committing any act not allowed by the Shariah?  Missing out on any Fardh, Wajib, Sunnah or Mustahab act?  He said: No.  Then Hadhrat said:  Following the Shariah is the greatest miracle.

These are the words of Mufti Syed Ziauddin Naqshbandi Qadri, Professor, Islamic Law, Jamia Nizamia and Founder/Director Abul Hasanaat Islamic Research Center, in the weekly lecture organized under the aegis of AHIRC at Masjid Abul Hasanaat, Jahanuma,Hyderabad.

Mufti Sahab said that the teachings of Hadhrat Ghouse-ul-Azam are to absolutely avoid the blameworthy attributes and to acquire the praiseworthy attributes.  He has instructed to perform Nafl (optional) acts of worship, to reform one’s self and heart, to acquire the understanding of religion and to adorn oneself with Taqwa.  He said that to stop oneself from what is wrong is the Taqwa (piety) of the laymen.  To avoid even the doubtful things is the Taqwa of the elite.  He has ordered us to keep our outward and our inward pure.

Mufti Sahab said that Hadhrat Ghouse-ul-Azam said that we should avoid greed and avarice.  The one who indulges in this remains deprived of ni’mah.

Mufti Sahab said that Ghouse-ul-Azam (May Allah Ta’ala be well pleased with him) said that human beings should always remain happy with the will of Allah Ta’ala.  A Momin (believer) does not question the commands of Almighty Allah Ta’ala.  Instead, a Momin bows his head to the commands of Allah Ta’ala.

The session ended with Durud and Salaam.  Maulana Hafidh Muhammad Afsaruddin Qadri led the proceedings.
