Hadhrat Yahya Pasha (May Allah shower His mercy on him)

Hadhrat Shah Muhammad Yahya Qadri (May Allah shower His mercy on him) is the second son of Hadhrat Syed Muhammad Siddiq Hussaini (May Allah shower His mercy on him).  At the time of the passing of away of Hadhrat Siddiq Hussaini (May Allah shower His mercy on him), he was aged 10 years.  Hadhrat Khwaja Mahbooballah (May Allah sanctify his secret) loved him a lot.  Day and night, he would remain with Hadhrat Mahbooballah (May Allah shower His mercy on him).  Hadhrat Bahr Ul Uloom Maulana Hasrat (May Allah shower His mercy on him) says that some brothers of the Tariqa complained that they could not form the vision of Hadhrat Mahbooballah (May Allah shower His mercy on him) (Tasawwur-e-Shaykh).  Hadhrat Mahbooballah (May Allah shower His mercy on him) told them to form the vision of Yahya.  When they did it, they could form the vision of Hadhrat Mahbooballah (May Allah shower His mercy on him).  There is a narration that sometimes Hadhrat Mahbooballah (May Allah shower His mercy on him) said that Yahya and me are 2 swords in one scabbard.

 

As Hadhrat Yahya (May Allah shower His mercy on him) was very young at the time of his passing away, his whole education and instruction was done at the hands of his elder brother, Hadhrat Syed Uthman Hussaini (May Allah shower His mercy on him).  He gave the pledge of allegiance (Ba’yah) to his father, but got the Khilafah (authorization to accept and instruct disciples) from his elder brother.  However, in the Shajra (the chain of authorization), he detailed his own chain of authorization from his elder brother.

 

Hadhrat Yahya Pasha (May Allah shower His mercy on him) compiled 40 Hadith about the excellence of Durood.  Out of these 40 Hadith, 15 have been included in the compilation of his writings, Noor-e-Baseerat.  Out of them some are being mentioned here with their references from the canons of Hadith.

 

1.  Translation of Hadith: The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said:  The person who sends 1 Durood on me, Allah Ta’ala writes 10 virtues for that person and wipes out 10 sins and raises his (or her) status by 10 degrees.  (Mustadrak Alas Sahihain, Hadith No. 1976; Musnad Imam Ahmed, Hadith No. 7772; Musnad Ibn Abi Shaiba, Hadith No. 152)

 

2.  Translation of Hadith: The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: The person who sends Durood on me 100 times on Friday or the night preceding Friday, Allah Ta’ala forgives 80 years worth of sins of that person.  (Kanz Ul Ummal, Hadith No. 2149)

 

3.  Translation of Hadith: The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: The person who recites Durood 100 times in the night preceding Friday or on Friday, then Allah Ta’ala fulfils 100 wishes of that person and appoints an angel for that person.  When that person is laid in the grave, the angel gives glad tidings to that person the way you take a gift for one of your brothers.  (Shu’abul Iman, Hadith No. 2899; Jame’ Ul Ahadith, Hadith No. 6120)

 

4.  Translation of Hadith: The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said:  For the person who sends Durood on me 100 times in a day, 100 wishes of that person are fulfilled.  (Jam Ul Jawame,’ Hadith No. 5508)

 

5.  Translation of Hadith:  The person closest to me in the gathering will be the one who sends Durood on me the most.
