Holy month of Shawal - Order and its virtues

Holy month of Shawal - Order and its virtues The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi Wa sallam) gave glad tidings to the persons who kept Roza (Fast) for the next six days of the holy month of Shawal along with the Roza's (Fasts) of the Holy month of Ramadan stating that they will be rewarded the thawab of fasting for equivalent to complete one year.
It is given in the Hadith of Muslim Shareef, Vol. No: 1, Pg. No: 369:

Translation: It is narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Abu Ayyub Ansari (May Allah SWT be well pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi Wa sallam) said: "Those who observed Roza's of the Holy month of Ramadan and also soon after it, kept few Roza's of the holy month of Shawal; then it is equivalent to withholding Roza for the entire age." The Fuqaha (Jurists), regarding the Nafl Roza (Optional Fast) said that observing Roza on every alternate day is superior and the method, of observing the six Roza of the month of Shawal is also stated i.e. one should fast for two days per week. Beside this if one wills to fast continuously for six days, then such an act is also not undesirable.
