Jashn Meraj Un Nabi in Dubai

Jashn Meraj Un Nabi in Dubai

Lecture at Jame Masjid Madina Al Qusais, Sona Pur

Hadhrat Mufti Syed Ziauddin Naqshbandi Qadri spoke in the famous Masjid Faizane Madina Al Qusais on 19 July, 2009 on the Meraj of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam). The lecture started after Salaat Ul Isha.

Meraj is a secret of Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala)

Mufti Sahab said that the verse of the Holy Quran which talks about the Meraj starts with the Arabic letter " Seen " and ends with the Arabic letter " ra ". Both of them combine to become the word "Sirr ," which means secret implying that the details of what all happened between Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) and the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) is a secret between Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) and the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), which cannot be revealed.

Why did the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) go to heaven/hell?

Mufti Sahab said that Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) could have shown heaven and hell and the other spiritual worlds to the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) right here on earth itself, as is given in Sahih Bukhari that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) saw heaven many times here on this earth. Bait Ul Muqaddis was also unveiled Dar Aqeel (the next morning when the non-Muslims were asking Him questions), but still the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was taken to these places, so that these places would become blessed with the blessed feet of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) and to reveal the status of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) on the whole universe.

Jibrail enters through the roof

Mufti Sahab said that on the night of Meraj, Jibrail (Peace be upon him) entered the house where the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was resting through the roof indicating that this journey is an extra-ordinary one. Also, coming from the top (roof) indicates that this journey is towards height.

Why was the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) sleeping in the house of Hadhrat Umme Haani

Mufti Sahab said that on the night of Meraj, the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was resting in the house of Hadhrat Umme Haani (May Allah be well pleased with her). The reason was that as per Surah Ahzaab 53rd verse and Surah Hujuraat 4/5 verse, it is prohibited to enter the house of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) without His permission or to call Him from outside His house. Even the angels are included in these commands, so to allow Jibrail (Peace be upon him) to fulfill the command of Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala), the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) rested in the house of Hadhrat Umme Haani (May Allah be well pleased with her) and not in His own house.

Meraj while the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was resting

Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) took the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) for Meraj when He (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was resting implying that when while resting Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) can grant Him Meraj, then what would Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) not grant to Him in prayer or worship? Even the resting of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) is such that He Himself says: My eyes sleep and My heart remains awake.

Life without center of life

Mufti Sahab also said that in the night of Meraj, the blessed heart of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was removed, washed with the water of Zam Zam and Iman and wisdom were poured into it. This was related to the Ummah by the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) Himself. The heart is the center of life. Nobody can survive when it is removed. Even in an open heart surgery, doctors use artificial means. When the life of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was unaffected by the removal of the center of life, then how would it be affected when the means of life are removed?

This great Jashn Meraj Un Nabi was attended by a large of people. Alhaj Muhammad Zaheeruddin Naqshbandi, Muhammad Arshad Ameen Sahab, Muhammad Arshad Multani etc. were also present.
