Hadhrat Ali in the light of the Hadith

Hadhrat Ali in the light of the Hadith

Hadhrat Ali (May Allah be well pleased with him)

“Jashn e Wiladat Maulae Kainaat raziallahu anhu” (celebrations on the occasion of birth of Hadhrat Ali (May Allah be well pleased with him)) were held at Masjid Maula Ali Qadri Chaman on July 7, which was presided over by Hadhrat Maulana Syed Shah Ibrahim Hussaini, Sajjada Nasheen Qadri Chaman,.

Superiority of Hadhrat Ali (May Allah be well pleased with him) as mentioned in the Hadith

Speaking at this occasion, Maulana Mufti Syed Ziauddin Naqshbandi Qadri said that the virtues and excellences of Hadhrat Ali (May Allah be well pleased with him) are mentioned innumerable Hadith. On the occasion of the battle of Khaibar, the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: Tomorrow, I will give the standard (flag) to such a person who loves Allah SWT and His Prophet and Allah SWT and His Prophet love him. The Sahabah say that all of us were waiting to see who would be given this honor. The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) summoned Hadhrat Ali (May Allah be well pleased with him). At that time, Hadhrat Ali (May Allah be well pleased with him) was suffering with disease of the eye (conjunctivitis). The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) put His blessed saliva into his eyes and gave him the standard of Islam. Allah SWT let Khaibar be conquered on Hadhrat Ali’s hands.

There is a Hadith in Jame Tirmidhi that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) that once while eating, the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) prayed: O Allah SWT! Send the one who is best loved by You among all Your creation to share the food with me. Hadhrat Ali (May Allah be well pleased with him) came to the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) and He (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) shared the food with him.

Ali is through Me and I am through Ali

Hadhrat Mufti Sahab said that the greatness of Hadhrat Ali (May Allah be well pleased with him) and his closeness with the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) can be best understood by this Hadith of Sahih Bukhari. The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

Translation: O Ali! You are through me and I am through you.

Ali defeated the Khawarij

In view of the sacredness of Madina Munawwarah, Hadhrat Ali (May Allah be well pleased with him) made Kufa his capital. He stood up against those enemies of Islam who were in the guise of Muslims (the Khawarij) and defeated them at Nahavand. On this occasion, he revealed the prophecy given by the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam):

Only 10 Muslims will be martyred and all the enemies will be killed and only 10 will be left.

Ali is the first young man to embrace Islam

Maulana Syed Shah Auliya Hussaini Qadri said that Hadhrat Ali (May Allah be well pleased with him) was the first among the young men to embrace Islam. He himself said: I am the first person who offered Salaat along with the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam). The love of Hadhrat Ali (May Allah be well pleased with him) is the sign of Iman and enmity with him is the sign of hypocrisy (Nifaq). For this reason the Ansar Sahabah (the Sahabah of Madina) said that we would recognize the Munafiqin by their enmity with Hadhrat Ali (May Allah be well pleased with him) that so and so person is a Munafiq. Maulana said that Hadhrat Ali (May Allah be well pleased with him) said that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) promised me that only a Momin will love you and only a Munafiq will hate you and the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said that whoever disrespects and speaks ill of Ali disrespects and speaks ill of Me.
