Hadhrat Fatima (May Allah be well pleased with her)

Hadhrat Fatima (May Allah be well pleased with her)

Syeda Fatima Zahra (May Allah be well pleased with her) is the youngest and most beloved daughter of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).  She is also the leader of the women of paradise.

Allah Most High has ordered us to love the family and kinsfolk of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) as given in Surah Shura:

Say: ‘I do not ask for any recompense for this (preaching the faith in Messengership) but (seek) love for (my) kindreds and (my and Allah’s) nearness.’  Surah Shura (42:23)

Again in Surah Ahzaab:

Allah intends only to remove all impurity of sins from you, O People of the House (of the Prophet, [even a doubt or trace of shortfall,]) and make you absolutely pure and clean by blessing you with (perfect) purity and wholesomeness.  Surah Ahzaab (33:33)

This verse of the Holy Quran establishes that Allah Most High has shielded the Prophet's Family from every kind of blemish and defect.  Be it intellectual, in beliefs or manners, or external and internal.  Hadhrat Umme Salma (May Allah be well pleased with her) says about the background of the revelation of this verse of this verse:

Translation: Umme Salma (May Allah be well pleased with him) says that when the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was gracing my house with His presence, at that time this verse of the Holy Quran was revealed.  After this verse was revelaed, the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) summoned Hadhrat Syeda Fatima Zahra, Hadhrat 'Ali, Hadhrat Hasan and Hadhrat Hussain (May Allah be well pleased with all of them).  Then the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: These are my family .  Ummul Momineen Hadhrat Umme Salma (May Allah be well pleased with her) asked: O Prophet of Allah!  Am I not among your family (Ahle Bait)? He (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: Why not?

(Zujajatul Masabeeh, Vol 5, Pg No: 31)

Her birth:

She was born in the first year of Prophethood and according another narration 5 years before Prophethood.  (Subul Ul Huda war Rashad, Vol 11, Pg No: 37)

Her titles:

Syedatun Nisa Ahle Jannah, Zahra, Butul, Syeda, Zahida, Tayyaba, Tahira and many more.

Reason behind naming her as “Fatima” (May Allah Ta’ala be well pleased with her):

There is a Hadith narrated from Hadhrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be well pleased with him) in Kanz Ul Ummal that Syeda Fatima (May Allah be well pleased with him) was named as Fatima (May Allah be well pleased with him) because Allah Most High has freed her and those who love and revere her from Hell.  (Kanz Ul Ummaal, Hadith No. 34227)

Her marriage:

2 years after the Emigration, she was married to Hadhrat Ali (May Allah be well pleased with them both).

There is a Hadith in Mojam Kabir Tabarani:

Translation: Hadhrat 'Abdullah bin Mas’ud (May Allah be well pleased with him) narrates from the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: Verily, Allah Most High has ordered Me that I marry Fatima (May Allah be well pleased with him) to Ali (May Allah Ta’ala be well pleased with him).

Her progeny: She gave birth to 3 sons: Imam Hasan, Imam Hussain and Imam Muhsin (May Allah be well pleased with all of them) and 3 daughters: Hadhrat Zainab, Hadhrat Umme Kulthum and Hadhrat Ruqaiyya (May Allah be well pleased with them).

Her passing away:

She passed away into the presence of Allah Most High 6 months after the passing away of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) i.e.  in Ramadhan, 11 Hijri  and she is resting in Jannatul Baqi.
