Watching movies which show Islamic history, etc.

Watching every film is a waste of time and a useless act.  In this, there is acting, which is not free of deceit and lies.  If there is any nudity, then its offensiveness increases all the more.  There is no allowance for it in Islam.

"The Message" or such films are those in which some actors have portrayed the roles of the Sahabah.  They have made condemnable efforts to portray the history of Islam, important parts of Islamic history like the Battle of Badr, Battle of Uhud and so on.  In these kind of films, the honor of the Sahabah has been played with.  Apart from the usual lies, etc., which is present in films, here Islamic history has been treated irreverently.

Declaring or believing any person as a companion of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) is nothing but disrespecting the Sahabah.  In speculatively portraying the Battles of Badr and Uhud, the intent is nothing but to decrease the importance of these important battles.

Portraying the character, activities of daily living, manners, etc. of the Sahabah using guesswork is an outright attack on the honor of the Sahabah, which no Muslim can bear.

Thus, watching these kind of movies is a sin.  Not only this, watching this is spreading the insult of the Sahabah and Islamic history.  Thus, one should strictly refrain from watching these kind of movies and they should be boycotted.

If somebody has seen such movies, then they should repent before Allah Ta'ala and should refrain from watching it again.
