The last words of Hadhrat Ghouse Azam (May Allah be well pleased with him)

In his last illness, Hadhrat Ghouse Azam (May Allah be well pleased with him) gave a lot of advice to his sons.  Those pieces of advice are worthy of being treasured by each and every Muslim.

His eldest son Hadhrat Shaykh Abdul Wahab (May Allah shower His Mercy on him) requested Hadhrat Ghouse Azam (May Allah be well pleased with him) for some advice.  The Shaykh said:

Make piety and obedience to Almighty Allah compulsory on yourself.  Neither fear anyone nor be avaricious of anyone, surrender all your needs to Almighty Allah and ask of Him alone.  Don’t ask of anyone except Almighty Allah.  Oneness of Allah, Oneness of Allah, Oneness of Allah, it is the epitome of all.

After this, the Shaykh said:

When the heart becomes true with Almighty Allah, then nothing remains empty of it neither does anything step out of it…

The Shaykh also said:

Get away from me!  Apparently I am with you, but inwardly I am with someone else.  The distance between me and other creation is like the distance between the earth and the sky.  Thus, neither analogize me on someone else nor anyone else on me.

The Shaykh also said:

Others, apart from you (i.e. angels) come near me.  Thus, make space for them and be respectful towards them.  Here there is a large gathering (of angels and the blessed souls of the Prophets), so don’t make the space constrained for them.

Before his demise, the Shaykh said:

I don’t worry about anything else, neither about angels nor about the angel of death.  O angel of death!  Move aside.  There is someone else for us other than you (who will draw the soul).

A son of the Shaykh asked him his condition, the Shaykh replied:

Don’t ask me anything!  I am the one who is being turned over in the knowledge of Allah Most High.

A son of the Shaykh asked the Shaykh whether any part of his body was hurting him.  The Shaykh replied:

Except my heart, all my body is hurting.  There is no pain in it.  It is absolutely with its Lord Almighty.
