The angels desire to meet the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)

It is mentioned in Kanz Ul ‘Ummaal on the authority of Hadhrat Abdul Rahmaan bin Ghanam, he says:  We were sitting with the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) in the mosque.  Suddenly a cloud appeared.

The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said:  That angel greeted me with Salaam and said that he always sought permission from Allah Most High to meet Me.  I received permission on this occasion.  I give glad tidings to You that there is none more respectable and of greater stature with Allah Most High than You.

It is the nature of angels that whatever work is assigned to them, they remain busy in it.  In spite of this the angels had such intense desire of meeting the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) that they continuously prayed for this.  Now tell me, what made them abandon the work assigned to them and come down to the earth from the heavenly realms?

Will they do so for someone whose stature is less than them, may Allah protect us from this?  In these last times, with some Muslims, the stature of the Prophet is less than those to whom He was sent.

If one sees the canons of Hadith and biography of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), it will become apparent that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) had absolute authority over the earthly and heavenly realms.  Khasaais-ul-Kubra, which Imam Jalaaluddin Suyuti (May Allah shower His Mercy on him) has written is with this intention of gathering all such Hadith so that Muslims can find them easily without any trouble.  Maulvi Abdul Jabbar Khan Asifi has translated it into Urdu with the intention of general benefit, for which Muslims should be thankful to him.  In my opinion, all Muslims should read that book so that the misguided sects are not able to enchant them and they realize the high stature of their Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) and they can respect and revere Him easily, which is the command of Almighty Allah.
