When to sacrifice the animal?

 When to sacrifice the animal?

Slaughtering an animal according to Islamic tenets with the intention of worship either on 10th, 11th of 12th Dhul Hijja is known as Qurbani.

There is a Hadith about this in Kanz Ul Ummal:

It is narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Ali (May Allah be well pleased with him), he says:  There are 3 days for sacrificing an animal and among them, the first is the most excellent.

(Kanz Ul Ummal, Hadith No. 12676)

In light of the abovementioned Hadith, the jurists have clarified that 10th, 11th and 12th Dhul Hijjah are the days of sacrifice.  The time of sacrifice begins soon after offering the Salaat of Eid Ul Azha and ends soon after the sunset of 12th Dhul Hijjah.  After this time, the animal cannot be sacrificed.   Sacrificing the animal in the night is Undesirable (Makruh). As mentioned in Tanveer Ul Absaar:
