Question:     Assalam alaikum. My mother's brother given divorce to his  wife with only one time saying Talaq, in the front of some relatives, for bad behaveness of his wife. this is valid divorce saying one time talaq ? from this to till now they not meet or not seen both , they are living  separately please advice

Answer:     By saying “Talaaq” only once, a Revocable Divorce (Talaaq Raj’ee) is affected and the husband has the right to take back the wife up until 3 menstrual periods.  If in this time period, the husband doesn’t take back the wife.  Then the lady is considered to be out of the wedlock of this person.

Now if they want to live together, they can fix a new divorce (Mehr) and marry again.
